2005 Chrysler Sebring Conv - Page 9 Questions & Answers
I bought my 2005 sebring a year ago and it is due
the 2.7l has a sludge problem. This could cause the stalling and loss of power. There's a few fixes, the new water pump (which is part of the problem) doesn't dump coolant into the oil pan. Easy way to check is to simply drop the oil pan.
I have a 2005 Chrysler
There are 2 fuse boxes in these cars. One is in the trunk under the mat where the spare tire is and there is another under the hood. I believe the one your looking for will be in the trunk.

Windows will not go up, a/c fan not working and air bag light on
Windows not going up and a/c fan not working and something else?
I think that the windows not going up could be a fuse or wire in most cases.
The a/c fan can be a relay, but it could also be a fusible link that broke, or a coolant temperature sensor circuit not working, which includes the relay as one of the components.
Something about air? do you mean air conditioning?
If the air conditioning isn't working, it could be low on r134A refrigerant or it could be related to the fan not working for the radiator.
The fan for the radiator should go on as soon as you turn the a/c on inside the car.
OK, does that answer most of your questions?
I have developed a short in the horn on my 2005
You can do one of two things. Remove the fuse to the horn, if it has it's own fuse, or under the bumper in the front, you will find two horns (a high tone and a low tone), that has a Green wire with a Red tracer on it. Wiring colors on Chrysler's haven't changed much since 1960. A Haynes Manual for your vehicle is of utmost importance in working on your own vehicle now a days. The Haynes Manual you need is a #25040 available at most part stores. (so you can call around to see if they have it in stock). In the back, it has wiring diagrams as well to help you chase wires throughout your car as well as any major or minor repair...along with pictures provided throughout the book.
I hope this helps you,

2005 Chrysler Sebring - engine stumbles and won't
I wasn't able to find out the first engine code, but the other one is a multiple or random misfire. and crankshaft position sensor a circuit. If the car has a distributor you could tried replacing the cap rotor and also wires first. Next you would look at the crankshaft position sensor try unplugging and plugging it back in. Look at the connection and wires to make sure they look OK. If you do not know how to test this you could also just replace the sensor. Good luck.
Leaking water
Are you sure it is water? If its water it is dripping off the evaporator for the air conditioning and is completely normal.
2005 Chrysler Sebring Sedan Fan continues to run
Hi !
A little bit confusing.... though interesting...
when the fan noise is coming please open the hood and physically see if the fan is working.....
What I see is that the thermostat connected to the fan needs to be replaced.
BUT first see physically if the fan IS making the said noise.

At what mileage should the timing belt be replaced
Depending on how the car is driven (outside temp, towing, stop and go, dusty, etc...) the maintenance schedule states either 90.000 miles or 120,000 miles. If any one harsh driving condition applies, chrysler recommends 90,000 miles. The only mention of the tensioner needing replaced is if the belt was damaged due to misalignment.
Hope this helps.
Does anyone know a reset
if u are talking about the radio anti theft code please read the following.
Radio lock out codes are security related, and each code is unique to the car and the radio in that car, and that unique code was supplied with the original paper work when the car was delivered to the original owner to discourage theft, so they are not published on the internet, if they were what would be the point?? any thief could get the code after stealing your radio. Contact the dealer for instructions and what info u need to get your cars unique radio code. in almist all cases the radio serial number will be needed and the VIN of the car, the dealer may charge for the information.
