I have a 2001 mercury
Yes, keep it disconnected for at least 10 minutes. Also make sure your Battery is good. Sometimes the Anti-theft is sensitive to Battery voltage and will not connect the internal parts to allow a start.
If you have a Keypad, enter the Security Code on the Keypad and turn the Ignition Key within 5 to 10 seconds to start it.
My battery light is on. its a brand new battery. why is my battery like coming on?
Have you checked your fuses ? There is a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehcile in the engine compartment. Below is a fuse layout diagrm for that fuse panel. I have marked the fuse you want to check if you haven't already (# 26). If the fuse is good make sure you are getting power at the main big wire attched to the alternator. You should have the same amout of power at that connector at the alternator as you do in the battery itself. That is a direct wire going to the battery but it does have a fuse link in that wire so if no battery power there you will need to locate that fuse link and replace it. Sorry I don't have a picture of the location of the fuse link. Hope it's just a simple fuse or fuse link and I hope I was able to help....

What is the problem of high rpm of mercury sable
You see the vacuum hose solution by Shadow Gilbert? This still applies.......but usually if it's a vacuum leak, the engine will run a little rough. Could be you need to remove the solenoid IAC in the aluminum duct that has the throttle control close by. They actually make a special spray to clean this and the holes it works thru. Also, you have what's called a MAF sensor, and these need the tiny wires inside gently brushed off and sprayed clean with electrical contact or what I use is brake cleaner spray. Something that leaves NO residue. don-ohio (:^)
Wheelbarrow on 201 mercury sable
The possibilities are depending on whether you hear the sound in the front or back of the car: You have a broken brake pad in the front or a broken brake shoe in the back; there is a bad wheel bearing that needs to be replaced, there is a flat spot on one of your tires.
What is that term DPFE you use and where it is located
DPFE stands for differential pressure feedback emissions and the sensor is the square metal box connected by hoses to the EGR valve. When you get a trouble code for the sensor you would need to test the sensor and the EGR valve.
