Will crank and run fine when engine is cold go for

could be a number of possible faults.1/crank sensor not working when hot, trace this and pour cold water on it(dont do this if it is not by crank pulley as water isnt good for modules etc) and retry.2/sparkplugs worn, but usually they would fault more on cold start.3/fuel pump cuts out when run,try wacking tank from underneath and retry.though I would concentrate on nil spark caused by a faulty ignition module or crank sensor.
Next time it fails to start.pull off a sparkplug lead, make a quick test plug with an old(but working)sparkplug.pull the side wire away from the center electrode 5mm and insert into plug lead.earth ground the plug on its thread against metal on the engine.crank and check for spark visually, don't be tempted to hold the plug while cranking.if nil spark we will have to test further which is faulty sensor.if it sparks ok we will need to test for fuel.
testing for fuel is easy.
when it fails, unclip air filter housing, while engine is being cranked, spray an aerosol based carburettor cleaner into air duct to engine,it should start and run while spraying and stop when you stop spraying if fuel delivery is the fault.fuel pump will then need testing/replacing.
be careful not to spray onto ignition or any areas of spark

How replace and put back on idler pulley n

Hi there,

Use socket wrench to turn serpentine belt counterclockwise at tensioner to get some slack.
Pull serpentine belt off topside of idler pulley and put it underneath idler pulley, and actually try to tuck it up inbetween engine block and idler pulley. Then close your engine hood.

Then crank engine a few seconds and the belt should flip that idler pulley right off.
Dont even need to start the engine. You can tell when the job is done by hearing a big thud, and seeing the dent pushing out on your engine hood. Turn your key off immediately after hearing the thud, or if the engine starts. You just want to crank it a second or two. Easier than using a puller.

If the idler pulley is really shot to bits, it may come off in pieces; if not, there should be one center bolt and a largish washer. Don't lose the washer or bolt since your new part does not come with those (mine didn't!). Replace everything in the same order. Make sure you follow the torque specifications for the bolt when replacing it.

For the dent on your hood, just whack it back down with a hammer, then spray it with white Rust-Oleum spray paint, or the color that matches your car color.

Hope these help.

The left rear wheel wobbles. In checked all the

When checking to see if anything was loose did you also jack the wheel up and check? If not I would recommend jacking it up off of the ground, then just like checking the front end you grab the tire by the top and bottom and try to push it in and out. If there is any movement this is not good, have someone (friend, family) come look to see what is moving. Also grab the tire on both sides and try to push it side to side, again any movement is a bad thing. Also aside from movement you will be able to feel is something is wrong through the rubber. See if you feel any clicks or bumping, if they're there you will know what I mean.

If you don't find anything by jacking the tire up to check try spinning it and see if the rim is bent. If you have no luck with any of these I would take it to a shop. They can spin it on a tire balancing machine to check for a bent rim and also while it is up on a hoist they can check to see if there are any worn or broken components.

Good Luck, please ask if you have any more questions

Parasitic draw on battery how to check on car with

You will be able to help diagnose the problem by pulling fuses. Take a volt meter and put it to oms. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Put one end on the positive battery termanal and the other on the cable. Note the oms. Now, pull one fuze at a time until the oms drop considerably lower than before you pulled the fuzes. Thats the system that is drawing the power. Once you know the system you can track it down further. It could also be your altrenator. Disconnect it too and measure the oms before and after. take your time and do one system at a time noting the oms before and the oms after. My quickest guess it it is either your altrenator or your radio. Please note, you will have some "draw" no matter what because your clock radio or door lights will draw power. If you want to see this, test the oms with the doors closed and then test with the door open. The oms number will be higher with the door open.

If you don't have a volt meter, you can always test one fuze at a time over night. That would take considerably longer tho.
