How do you check trans fluid on 2004 crossfire
If an auto tranny there should be a dip stick.
If a manual tranny, there's a fill bolt near the top of the tranny, you have to :feel inside to check oil level.
I usually fill it till it starts to spill out oil, then recap and tighten the bolt.

Hello,
You should add some fuel injector cleaner into your gas tank to clean the injectors as you drive.
Good Luck!

Car slips out of first gear
It is possible that the shifter linkage is not aligned/adjusted properly. If not that external problem then there is an internal spring in the shifter pawl mechanism that may be broken and you if you cannot access and fix this yourself you will have to take it to a transmission shop or a Chrysler dealer to get if diagnosed and fixed.
What is the solution to stick shift that slips out of first gear
It could be an external shifter linkage problem or an internal pawl or pressure/electrical problem. Check with a dealer and ask a service advisor about the symptom or a universal transmission service outlet and get a few answers. You can also usually find the answer to such problems by a web search of the make, model, year and problem.
How to stop manual gears from slipping out of first on a chrysler crossfire
This may be from misalignment when fitting the transmission up to the bell housing. Bolts on one side done up to tension before the bolts on the other side. Check that a wire or something else has not become jammed between the box and the bell housing flange. Loosen off all the mount bolts and use rotation to tighten the bolts.. It basically that the clutch shaft ( input shaft for 1st gear is out of line with the main shaft and the gear is walking out of engagement.. Check also that the selector fork has been fitted correctly and that the gear is fully engaging. (selector fork in back to front and not enough movement to engage)
