Car won't start there is
Hi,
I just wanted to show you what I found on the internet regarding p1684:
"
P1684 engine code
The P1684 code simply means that the battery has been disconneted within the last 50 starts."
2002 Voyager transmission will not
If sounds like it might be in "limp" mode. This is where the transmission control unit detects a problem and then places the transmission in 2nd gear in order to protect the transmission and still allow you to "limp" into a shop for repairs.
Is the engine light on? If so, then you should take to a shop, the dealer, or find a parts store in your area to scan it for codes. Many parts suppliers like Autozone will scan you car for free. Most of the time this kind of issue is due to a bad input or output speed sensor on the transmission.
These sensors are what the control unit needs to read in order to determine when to shift. If the signal is lost, the controller gets confused and to keep the transmission from being in 2 gears at once the controller defaults to 2nd gear so you can still get it to a shop. The reason this is done is because if you were ever in 2 gears at once, it would be a catastrophic failure for the transmission.
Got a new battery. alternator
Hi There.
The rectifier ( this is the device that tells the alternator how much charge to put in the battery) may have had the same problem as your old unit you will probably have to get another one and have it tested first at an auto electicians and make sure that when you replace it in the car that the battery is NOT connected until the unit is fitted and then fit and connect the battery last
Good Luck
I have problem with illumination
It may not be easy, but it sounds like a ground wire is corroided or loose. You will need a good shop manual to locate the grounds for that component. Sometimes the dealship will run you off a copy of the wiring diagram since your auto parts store more than likely won't carry that.
My check engine light came
Although a fuel cap can cause this error, any leaks in the gas tank including the return line to the evaporative canister, or the connections above and below the filler neck, can cause the problem you describe.
It was a good guess that the gas tank cap caused this problem, but now that you have replaced it, should look for leaks elsewhere down the line.
My van does not have
The easy way to verify a bad heater core is by using the heater or defroster if the vehicle has antifreeze in it. If it only has water in it when the defrosters are on you will get a steam build up on the window like its getting fogged up. If antifreeze is in the system when the defroster or heater is on the air coming out will have an odor that smells sweet.
I have a 2002 Chrysler Voyager mini van. The
You diagnose the check light issues first
You should have a fault code set
That won't tell you what is wrong ,but will
tell you what system to check out
The TPS Sensor on some vehicles are part
of the data used for shift stratagy
You need a dealer or repair shop with
the proper test equipment
Nocking noise on front of
Sounds like your wheel bearings might be shot. Also inspect tie rods and cv boots.

How do I remove the radio from my 2002 chrysler
The one piece face (trim plate) must be removed first. This is a pop off design so be careful to lightly pry up the edges to release...you will need to unplug the lighter etc...Just 4 bolts hold the factory unit in place...after removing these 4 bolts you can pull the radio forward so you can unplug the factory wiring harness...(2 connections) and you should be able to reach behind the radio to unplug the antennae. If you are replacing the factory radio, you should invest in the necessary changeover radio that you are using...For a smooth replacement it is highly recommended to use all of the factory wiring to insure safety, and performance. Hope this helps.
Is a chain in side the motor?
The four cylinder engine uses a timing belt. The V6 uses a timing chain. The timing BELT is on the outside of the engine and the timing CHAIN is on the inside of the engine.
Serpintine belt came off after a couple of days of
Hello bigfish.
We often see this on the Chrysler vans in the shop.
You will need to check all the pulleys and bearings that the belt runs on.
Alternator, AC compressor, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, power steering pump.
Also the tensioner has a heavy spring in it that keeps tension on the belt and pivots on an aluminum pin.
If it wears it go crooked and tilts pushing the belt off.
All these parts are available through your favorite auto parts store.
I would recommend a Goodyear Gatorback belt if you are replacing it, they seem to work the best.
If you would like further advise with this, please ask me in comments.
Thank you.

Locate windshield washer motor
if you lie on the floor under the reservoir and look where the plastic is round under the wheel arch then you will see at the very bottom of reservoir is the offending motor. if you hear it start off but still no water then you mite just have a blockage. caution should be take when taking this off as it will squirt water all overt the place.
Both front and the rear windshield washer pumps
With both of them failing at the same time, you might suspect a fuse. Take the lid off the fuse box and look at the inside of the lid. Often there is a diagram there to show you which fuse to check. If the diagram is not there, it may be in the owners manual.
I hope it's that simple.
Good luck,

I seem to be getting
With a tune up they will usually clean your injectors by running the engine with the gas shut off and cleaner running through the system keeping it running. Usually they will also change the spark plugs and fuel filter too. I recommend also changing your air filter as this helps somewhat on fuel mileage. Another little thing that helps save gas is to make sure your tires are inflated to the proper spec. You can find the proper pressure on a sticker when you open your drivers door.
My 2002 vogager has 140,000 miles and I want to go
change plugs, fuel filter, oil and filter, have axle lubes checked, brake shops will do a free brake inspection. carry washer solvent and 2 gallons of 50/50 mix antifreeze, tire plug repair kit, and two cans of fix a flat. don't forget to check the spare tire for proper inflation. Doesn't hurt to have a grease job done also on the steering components. Happy trails and adventures!
