i would start with cleaning the throttle body and idle control valve

A mechanic would disconnect the battery and check it for a dead cell, then check the circuits on the car for a short or something on with everything switched off. Things like a stuck relay or light on.

on most cars you would take off the wire type things off the battery posts and pull the battery out

bottom of the engine. its big and black and usually has a ton of tiny bolts around the edge, and one bigger one at the lowest point on it

Hi its pretty straight forward First remove the positive lead + then the negative - undo the battery cradle ( the bit holding the battery in place) reverse these instructions for reconnected job done

Avoid = when undoing the positive lead + make sure the spanner doesnt contact any other metal component also make sure you reconnect the leads the correct way around + to + and - to -

Sounds like a fuel pressure issue. Try listening for the fuel pump to kick off while its running. If it does, its time to replace the fuel filter. You might also try swapping out the Fuel pump relay as well.
