Dodge Intrepid Engine light
run fault codes to determine which sensor/servo has failed. Check the oil level and the coolant level at the radiator cap.
Need to install brake booster
Does it have one to begin with? If it does, it's as simple as replacing the part. Unbolt and replace. There is a rod behind it that must be in place when installing. If not, there should be instructions with the new one you buy! Remove Master cyul. Do not spill fluid anywhere as it eats paint... Have to get the proper rod length and install it behind the booster. Hook up a vacuum line from the manifold intake to the booster with a one way check valve pointing towards the booster. Rod can be adjusted by pedal feel, but there are specs which I do not have on me! Mount master cyl. back onto booster and that should be it! Make sure there is room for the hood to close.....
With headlights on, random occasional issue with
do a meter test on the battery test it with no lights on and no engine running should show 12.5volts. now do the same with engine running should be around 13-14 volts on idle if under 12 volts when engine is running or spikes in power were by keeps jumping up and down on the volts then the alienator is at fault. if all is fine. then you will need to check the earth's one under the battery. check them are good and clean. then there is the light switch and fuse you need to check them. look at the fuse if intacted. test it and at same time flick the fuse see if it stays good. failing all them and nothing wrong there must be a fault with the main line some were and that is going to take some finding. could be any were from the main fuse to each light unit.
Two codes p 1684 and 1685
The battery was disconnected or you may have a bad ground. The good thing that it should not effect the operation of the car. It basically lost stored data and it must get it again. However, something is preventing it which means a bad ground, PCM was replaced/bad connection, quick learn for PCM. Other than this, you need a tech who will be able to test the PCM (they need a tool to test so the connnectors are not damaged) with a test light, Fused B+ circuits and/or ground circuits. However, before doing all that, bring to an auto parts store and get them to turn the light off. That may resolve it since this is not a "problem" code.
Engine knocking
If an auto check the flexi plate before the torque converter. Check all oil levels. check coolant level also. If any is really low or non- existent that will be your problem
Po404 check engine code
Code 404 is a problem with the EGR position sensor. The valve and sensor would need to be tested.
