change transmission fluid on a chrysler voyager 1997-6 automatic gearbox
More than likely, like most automatic transmissions, yours does not have an oil plug. You need to drop the transmission oil pan to drain the old oil... You need to buy a transmission filter/pan gasket kit. The filter is located on the bottom of the tranny. You will see it when you remove the pan. Replace the filter, thoroughly remove any traces of old gasket material, clean the mating surfaces, and reinstall the pan with the new gasket. Torque the pan bolts to the manufacturers spec (you should be able to get this where you buy the filter/gasket kit). Refill the transmission through the dipstick (Capacity for the Voyager is 4 quarts, make sure to use ATF Plus (Type 7176) for your particular tranny, NOT Dexron, Mercon, or generic automatic transmission fluid, Chrysler transmissions do not like any other kind and tend to fail quite quickly with the wrong fluid). Fill to the full cold level. Start the engine, move the shifter through all gear ranges, and put it back in park. Leave the engine running and refill to cold full. Drive the car for 5-10 minutes and, with the engine still running and the car in park, fill to Hot full. You should be ready to go!

I ahve a 1997 Town & country mini van that has developed a front end shake and shimmy that only occurs when I accelerate. If I let off the throttle the shake and shimmy stops. I just had all the tires balanced and have pulled both front wheels and checked for a loose tie rod end or anything that would wiggle. Please let me know what I should be looking for.
check cv joints as well possibly could be worn out

Front brakes lock up causing hot and smoking front rotors and pads. I can correct it temporarly by opening master cylinder cap and pump brakes a few times and replace cap and go. Is this a master cylinder problem or something else??
This sounds like the master cylinder isnt releasing pressure I would change master cylinder.

REPLACEMENT of a fuel filter on a 1997 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY LX 6 CYL 3.8L in the tank or above it?
Thanks
The fuel filter (1) is mounted next to the fuel pump module (2), on top of the fuel tank (3)
The fuel delivery system uses quick-connect fittings. The fuel filter mounts to the top of the fuel tank.
It may be necessary to support the weight of the fuel tank with a block of wood and a floor jack. Once this is accomplished, loosen, but do not remove, the fuel tank strap bolts. Allow the fuel tank to lower just enough to access the fuel line fittings at the fuel pump module.
Disengage the fuel line quick-connect fittings from the fuel pump module
Be sure to place a drain pan underneath the filter line fittings to catch all fuel spillage
Locate the fuel filter in its mounting on top of the fuel tank. Detach the quick-connect fittings from the chassis fuel supply tube and fuel pump module by squeezing the quick-connect fitting retainer tabs together and pulling the fitting assembly away from the fuel line nipple. The retainer will remain on the fuel tube.
Using a 10mm socket, remove the fuel filter mounting bolt ...
... then remove the fuel filter from the top of the fuel tank
To install:

The transmission appears to be stuck in "limp-in" mode, in 2nd gear. The DTC was p1768 which I believe is a relay stuck open. I bought a transmission relay from a local auto parts store but nobody I've talked to including mechanics, trans shops and a Chrysler dealer seems to know where this relay is located. It is not in the power dristribution box under the hood.
The Transmission Relay is in the Power Distribution Box. It's one of the 3 smaller identical relays underneath the row of 7 larger identical relays. It's the top one immediately below the larger relays. Between the Park Lamp(Larger Relay) & Fuel Pump (Smaller Relay).
Fuse #14 is also for the Transmission Relay.

2006 Chrysler 300c overheating. car temp. gauge went all the way hot. pulled over and shut car off. added water. every 3 days or so had to add a little more water. as long as i did this she was okay. changed thermostat. seemed to be okay. the other day it the car Gage shot up again to hot. pulled over again. went to take off cap and realized it was not all the way on tight. added water put a new cap on. as i drove it it kept going all all the way hot, but when i put the heater on full blast to help the engine cool there was no heat either. what does that mean? i have not started it again, had to leave it. what now? she has 50000miles never had one problem with her. just had oil change and brakes with new rotters done recently. could that somehow be related?
means the thermostat went bad from just water they need anti freeze to keep it from rusting and working properly also when you add water when its cold next time run the engine so it goes threw the block also squeeze the the upper radiator hose to get all the air out sounds like you have a air lock
