Fluid leak from the seal between the transmission
would suspect that it is a rear main oil seal in the engine...not good and costly to repair since the engine and transmission need to be seperated for a 10 dollar part. is it oil that is leaking?
Instrument panel won't work
the circuit board on the back of the panel is no good or there may be a loos connection at the plug that connects to it.

Check the passages and pipes, etc on the EGR valve for carbon buildup. The valve itself could also be plugged up,or a large chunk of carbon has broken loose and is restricting the flow.I remember the guy in the stall next to mine bringing a friends Town Car in with the same issue, and we cleaned the pipe out by stripping a 4 guage alternator wire's insulation, and chucked it into a drill, fed it into the pipe, and used it to brush out the carbon. It took a while, but it worked!
Insufficeint fuel delivery bucks chugs and backfires
I believe you have a fuel pump failing. It is in the tank and fairly simple to change. The hard part is getting the tank low enough to disconnect the lines and wires without breaking them. It goes back in the way it came maybe even easier. be sure to drain fuel from tank before re-installing. Try changing the fuel filter first before you take the fuel tank from the vehicle just to be sure it is the fuel pump. This may save time and knuckles. Good luck and have fun.

Multiple issues
I doubt the issues are related, but you need to get the computer scanned for trouble codes first. The codes may point you in the right direction to diagnose the problems. It's possible the engine temp sensor is faulty which could cause both problems.

Mayvbbe is...12 - Battery was disconnected recently31 - Purge canister/EGR solenoid circuit is open or shorted The possible causes here could be:- Bad connection or wiring... check the wiring and connections between the logic module and the solenoid. Clean and regrease any corroded connectors with dielectric grease and repair any shorts.- Bad solenoid... the solenoid is located in the right, front fender next to one to three other solenoids. 55 - End test.Really you have a 31 fault code there, 12 and 55 is a informative code.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
