1990 new yorker alternator replacement

You are right about removing the motor mount. You have to support the engine with a jack. Use a piece of plywood between the jack and the oil pan. Remove the motor mount and you should be able to lift the engine up about 2-3 inches with the jack. Remove the serpentine belt and then you should have enough room to remove the alternator.

I have a 90 Chrysler Newyorker 3.3 Landau all the

Well, are you ready to get your hands dirty? You will have to remove the panel from the door to fix the window. There are screws, bolts, and clips thay hold it on, and then you have to pull up and then out. Once inside the door, see if you can lift the window by hand. If yes or if the motor will take it up with a little help (don't get your hand in the mechanism). If yes, the motor is bad. If no, maybe it is jammed. See if you can get it back on tracks. You will probably have to loosen a track to get it back on--then put the track back snug and test the window. If the motor is bad, you usually have to raise the window and drill out the rivets to remove it. The new motor may come with bolts to replace the rivets. If it doesn't, get some before you leave the store. For the wipers, it may be the fuse, the switch, or the motor itself. Check the fuse first (fuse 18), obviously. If the fuse is good, use a voltmeter to see if power is getting to the motor. You have to remove the covers to access the motor. Take the connector off and probe it. There should be voltage on the terminal of the red/yellow wire when the key and switch are on. If no voltage, suspect the switch. If there is voltage, replace the motor. See diagram below. 0900c15280268892 (1)-etlvqcyxjdbbokifzikh1c5u-5-0.gif The switch is a lot of work and expense to replace. You can do it yourself, if you have the tools. Make sure it's bad by testing the power in with a voltmeter and the operation of the switch with an ohmmeter. There is quite a bit of help at the following link: Repair Guides Steering Combination Switch AutoZone com The turn signals may stop blinking if a bulb is burned out. Check both bulbs. That is usually the only reason for one side to blink and the other not blink.Good luck!
