Do the other doors open? If that is what's happening, you would need to replace the door lock accuator.

Add me to the list. Just got back from a Volvo dealership in Chicago and was told the 'winding' noise we're experiencing during deceleration in our 2004 XC90 is due to a failing transmission,so i would suspect the same accelerating. hope all works out for you

There is a coolant temperature sensor that...well....senses the temperature of the coolant. :-)

When it reaches a certain temperature, it completes the electrical circuit to a fan relay, that, in turn, kicks on the electric fan.

It could be a bad coolant temperature sensor, fan relay, fan motor, or wiring between any of the above. It may take a visit to a qualified auto technician to trace down the exact problem.

The check engine light comes on when there's a definitive problem, so there will be a code. AutoZone should be able to read the codes for free and that will tell you what the problem is. Ask when you get the codes and the problem can be narrowed down.

i wouldnt even come out the house let alone play with cars in them temperatures ,my reynards syndrome would not let me work in that cold thats for sure

they just push in with plastic clips behind the trim on most vehicles

this is a brake issue and unless you have above average mechanical talent and the tools, take it to your mechanic . people can die if the car won't stop. it's probably needs pads.
