Transmission wont shift on 93 plymouth voyager

Do you know if you have a 3 speed trans or a 4 speed trans? If it is a 4 speed , the (D) on the shift indicator will have a box around it. I need to know which transmission you have, then I can help.

Why would passenger front brake get hot?

it means the brake caliper is hanging up dragging the pads on the rotor causing heat. replace caliper and bleed brakes. also check the flexible hose that connects to that caliper. could be collapsed inside not allowing fluid to return. if in doubt replace it too at the same time with caliper and bleed brakes.

Where do i put the transmission fluid in a 1993 plymouth voyager? details please

The "little box" is probably the power steering reservoir, if it is at the front of the engine. The Transmission fluid filler is usually near the firewall (windscreen) and will be a tube leading to the gearbox, sometime has a dipstick coming out of it to check the fluid level as well as provide a way to top up.

Can bad timing chain cause water pump to fail?

No --the two are not connected. If the chain is worn badly it is most probable that the water pump was due to fail also.

Wont stay running have to use two feet just to keep it running

First thing I would suggest is a tune-up, if already did that, the air filter could be clogged. If you already tried that, you could look into it being a clogged catylic converter or collapsed muffler.. these last two would cause your van to run hot (temp gauge) or warmer than normal.

Replace ignition activator rod

It is recommend that you have a professional mechanic replace an ignition, but if you want to do it yourself you have to take off your entire steering wheel and make sure you don't disconnect vital wires. It should take a couple of hours.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------CarBrain C168 Scanner
