My run/start fuse is blowing but it only does it sometimes. I just bought the Jeep and I drove it for a week and it drove fine. I changed the plugs, cap, rotor, and wires. I drove it around and then f

Did you or previous owner add any electrical things like winch, radio amp or lights hooked up to that fuze? If yes, rewire so they run on their own properly sized fuze. If no, you have an intermittent short somewhere. Get a schematic, figure out where the wires from that fuze go to get to the things the schematic tells you they go, then follow the wires looking for damage. If you cannot isolate wiring harness damage, run new wire taped to the outside of the existing wiring harness. It is possible one of the things hooked up to that fuze has an intermittent problem inside. A way to find that is to run a separate fuzed power to the devices (ignition coil, EGR, fuel pump etc). on that circuit, drive it for a while and see if that fuze blows. If it does, investigate/replace that device. This requires major surgery on the wiring harness and is not to be undertaken lightly, this is a big deal and it is hard. Big problem is to make sure the reconnected wires are reliable for the next 15 years.

1999 jeep cherokee sport cranks wont crank

Most likely is intermittent in starter solenoid relay Next most likely is key switch start connection intermittent. a tester will have to be used to find where the power is being lost from the start terminal of ignition switch to starter solenoid pilot connection to the main starter output power from solenoid to starter main contactor.

Why is there no brakefluid comin out rear bleeders in 99 jeep cherokee when trying to bleed them

did you open the system up front? do tell all things you messed with first , then ask a question. got ABS? there are 5 ways to bleed brakes (not counting ABS) which one you using>?
  1. Gravity (LOL)
  2. 2 man rule
  3. MC power bleeder tool.
  4. tail end fitting reverse power bleed tool?
  5. vacuum tool?
we can not guess that , unless said. and is key to success. that be first ,for sure. did you read the FSM to see how YOUR CAR IS DONE? no? why not? Real deal. https://www.techauthority.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx scanned? http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service see chapter 5, its all there, to read, then ask questions not clear in the book. page 36 is ABS bleed, read that if applicable yet? i bet you can not do this page, no special tool to do ABS. but you never said.

1999 jeep Cherokee classic. It will not go into 1st gear. It says it is the input speed sensor. Check gauge light comes on now. I replaced the alternator , input speed sensor and battery. Its over c

It says ? what says? the SCAN TOOL>?non GRAND, (no engine stated, so fail there 1st)my guess is you have a DTC and forgot to post that. why do that?the DTC is covered in the FSM manual, and shows what is failing.why not read the FSM and do what it says to do?ill no attempt to read the FSM for you,. and that vague error.why not log in to alldata.com and stop guessing. at parts.there is no reason to gue$$my guess at he DTC,P0500"or was it the P07xx series, all A/T errors.P1xxx codes are factory code, got them? need all codes, not just 1 of many. and using a real scan tool not some POS autozoned junk (free)p0500 is ASE jargon (best ) is VSS sensors. vehicle speed sensor.the transmission TCM monitors many inputs, and if they are badit can NOT shift, one such sensor is SPEED. MPH or VSSthe tail shaft all all 42RE transmission has a tail rpm sensorwhen dead the cars speedometer goes dead, and the TCMis at a lost to shift to 2nd gear, if speed is 0 all day.a hopeless deal there.if the battery voltage is not over 15v, its not overcharging, running.99 is a nice jeep, id fix mine, ive had many.the tranny has 2 speed sensors.the front sensor does not do MPH, its just engine tranny input RPMthere are 3 RPM sensorEngine, RPM called, CKPtranny input sensor that tells the TCM true clutch slip at all timeand if the TCC works or not.the tail shaft is the true speed sensor, vehicle speed, it\'s on tail shaft.my guess, is the tail sensor is bad and you replaced the front sensorP-0715 is a bad input sensorP0720 and up are output sensor errors.the 500 , is the 3rd sensor, the tail shaft sensor that runs the speedo1st google hit.http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums/showthread.php?548105-P0500-Vehicle-Speed-Sensor-Malfunctionnext time post real DTCsso we can jump on the exact part and the simple teststhe beauty of 3 sensors, is the transmission runs bettershifts betterand the OBD2 diagnostics are dead nuts, accurate.it can see illegal gear slips (bad clutch packs) in any gearand tell you. one of the best there.areif you had new car, with 9speed, good luck keeping that card house going.. really.

Why does the oil pressure hand keep dropping down when in idle?

They all do that it is not a worry unless it goes down to the peg and stays there, the faster the engine is turning, the more pressure it builds so at an idol it may drop to 10, or 15 lbs and that is plenty to lubricate the engine, as long as it comes up at a faster engine speed ?
