Did anyone actually answer this question? I have the same thing happen to my Isuzu Forward L195 1993 model truck. Am wondering what the warning light is for.

I stopped for a few minutes when it appeared and when I restarted it didn’t reappear - until a few weeks later.

I do not know what it is called but I had one go out myself. I replaced it with a spring and it is working at least until I can find a replacement (may have to go to an Isuzu dealer to do that. I believe this is what you are talking about

Sounds like the wrong pressure plate. I got a kit from Autozone and it was the wrong pressure plate. My old one was obviously thicker. With the new pressure plate, the shift fork was almost at full travel before any resistance. That's no good. I had to pull the transmisssion again and use my old pressure plate. Luckily, it was in good condition. Then, the clutch slack was easily adjusted and works great.

Another sensor could be shorted and dragging down the 5 volt reference signal or corroded frayed wiring.

You are going to need to replace you headgasket and do it soon,when that is done change the oil and the change it again after the first 2 hundred kms.

1992, PICKUP, in USA? what country , ? cars are not same all over earth. sorry. engine surges, then stalls. correct.>? nice testing , rare here, real nice !!!! spark good as it stalls so if engine is ok, compression, (seems cat is not melted with 20 " HG) is flooding or starving for fuel,. one or the other, you can find that out. if spark timing was ok, then the belt did not slip. on cam) leaving only fuel issues. so DO the magic , WOT, cranking trick this trick (logic in ECU) cuts the injectors dead, cranked, to unflood all engine with EFI. do that? check spark tips, for 3 to 4 hours dead.? be next 2.6L (is 4 cylinder.) is cam belt drive, i never fail to check it first the fail, at 60k miles, all do. all rubber band engines do., if all this is ok, not flooding one can start engine with test fuel, and even keep it running even with (hint) fuel pump relay pulled. if that works, the fueling is wrong. injectors leaking,? ? if only one spark tip is wet , soaking in fuel, Injector issues. when it stalled pull all 4 plugs and look at the tips. (if cam is timed right) be super super first thing, on this 4 banger.

loosen alternator mount bolt (2 i recall) and remove tension adjusting nut. then the drive belt should be slack. take off belt, disconnect vacuum lines and connector, then undo mounting bolts. remove alternator. reinstall is the reverse process.

there are only two causes of overheating - and that applies to all engines in existence... 1. insufficient lubrication 2. insufficient cooling best proceed with cold engine, on level ground re1. check lubricant level and flow, check lubricant condition for presence of foreign mater or liquid, best, change oil and oil filter. re2. check coolant level, including overflow bottle, if insufficient - add coolant. check coolant condition and flow. do not close the cap, start the engine, check for presence of bubbles in the liquid while engine is running, if there are bubbles present - it can indicate blown headgasket, especially if distinct smell of fuel is present. switch off the engine and feel top and bottom of the radiator, it should be same temperature or very similar, if it is much colder on the bottom than on the top - there are two possibilities, thermostat is gone and need to be replaced or too much gunk in the radiator and need flushing. hope this will help you - do not forget to vote...

You either have a lose connection or the alternater is not working. If you start the truck and then disconnect the battery and the truck stops running then the alternater is no good.

you need an ignition switch. One way to figure it out is to turn the key to engage the starter, quickly........over and over, the "catch and start" will happen with no change and suddenly, its engaged. Or, keep the key in the START position, don't let up on it and hit the steering column with your fist, or the steering wheel. It may just be shorting out.
