I have a 1991 Isuzu Amigo, it starts right up and
take the cover of the fuel pump relay use your finger to push the set of points inside relay together(momentarily) then starts the engine while holding points together does car sty running ? try switching the relay for another one no better try a wire to the pin that goes to the pump is there a fuse blown?

Check and replace fuel hose from the pump line to the manifold and ensure that it is tight . Check return line from the regulator is tight. Check that the injectors are all tight and the seals are not leaking.
How to change the alternator
Here are some steps that you need to do.
- Disconnect battery ground cable at battery.
- Remove drive belt.
- Disconnect alternator electrical connector.
- Disconnect battery positive cable nut on alternator.
- Remove alternator
- Put the new alternator
- Connect the positive cable nut and electrical connector
- Connect the battery ground cable
- Start the car then check if its giving enough charge to your battery

Check the relay beneath the steering column. Mine went out, too. Try to snag an OEM one, as third-party ones tend to flash too fast.
