Have you pressure-tested the cooling system? Has the engine been overheated? If there are no signs of external leaks, you may have an internal leak. You may have a cracked cylinder head or a blown head gasket. Check the engine oil on the dipstick- is it pure oil or does it have bubbles of moisture on it? Does it smell like coolant? The ticking may be a result of little lubrication of the engine oil due to the presence of coolant. It would also cause your power issue.

Hi there:Other than a bad connection / chaffed wire etc - which can happen - so be sure all is ok there - then the problem is going to be a faulty TPS ... throttle position sensor / switch..This isn't unusual to happen / go wrong on these - No amount of re learn procedures will cure a faulty one Im afraid - so its a new one that is needed to cure these issues that you have with this one.The TPS ( sensor ) is at the pedal on this one.... and its this that Im referring too. This can be checked using diagnostic equipment - using live data - it can be checked to see f its working and when its not etc.Not all garages would be able to do this depending on what equipment they have and their level of knowledge - but I would suggest it would be a good idea to have it checked out as above to confirm the fault .. You have the TCU - Throttle control unit - but thats inside and a part of the TPM - Throttle position motor ...on the engine. Your fault codes though would indicate the TPS - at the pedal.There is also a common fault on these that causes throttle / power loss... Im not so sure this fits the symptoms you describe but it might be worth a consideration... Assuming the check engine light is not on, I would want to know what the engine temp sensor is doing.A scanner would tell you what the temp sensor is showing - if it is unplugged or there is a problem with the wiring the fans will run as a default to prevent the engine from overheating. It could be a fan relay but I doubt it. A relay usually works or not.

did you change the fuel filter or do a tune up lately ?

Hi Mal, Take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. The flashing light is indicating a fault in the system, which will be identified by the scan report. Regards John

I suggest to check some electrical short, wires connections in good condition and ground wires.

if the fan is running inside and the environmental controll is set to cool the AC compressor under the hood a click is heard and the compressor should start, it should cylcle on and off periodicly , if this dos not happen Have your AC system checked.

The easiest way to see if a cat is working is to measure the exhaust temp before and after the cat. If the cat is working the after temp will be less than before. We use an inferred heat gun.Not sure what you mean by pulsating. If your truck is a V-6 you might be able to switch the bank 2 sensor with the bank 1 to help diagnose.

does the key turn

you have popped it off track,try to pop it back on with your hands first if not you will have to disassemble it

Is the check engine light on ?Could be a long list of things including a faulty thermostat, O2 sensor, dirty air filter, and so on.

Any slipping requires a rebuild

your TPS is not at the pedal, it is on the engine right where throttle cable connects. look for plug with 2 or 3 wires on it. there will be 2 screws or bolts holding it in place. mark the housing before you take the old one off, new one must be put back in same exact place.

do you mean rodeo as in isuzu unfortunately todd many cars are now going to a set ltrs filling system it is probable that you will find that it takes so many ltrs and there will be a bolt on th side of the ****** using a small diameter hose ran up top it ca be filled in other case 05 ford exploder it must be pumped by force good luck

grip the cable with some channel locks and give it a pull if the problem is the lever, if the latch itself (under the hood part) is the issue try to slip a sawzall blade in there and cut that ****** in half
