My 01cadillac el dorado etc. marks low rerige ac

check your on board dash codes, sounds like it could be your orfice tube is bad or it could be your hi side thermister. your dash code will give code for that. I have a 2000 eldorado and had the same prob and it was the hi side thermister. (its just a lil plug like thing) I went to a upull it and they didn't even charge me for it and on my car it was located close to the orfice tube on ac line by firewall. with that you don't have to lose your systems freon or have to pay for someone with the recovery unit but if its a bad orfice tube you have to break down the system :( hope this helps

My car heats up in stop and go traffic

There are several things that could be wrong here.
  • Head Gasket, if your car is loosing power and leaking fluid, thats a good sign.
  • Radiator could be bad
  • There could be a leak somewhere. You can check it yourself and just look to see if there are any puddles after you park.
  • There could easily be a thermostat problem. Take it to a garage and get it checked,
As long as it's not leaking or losing power, then it shouldn't be a big fix.

Turn ignition wont start killing the battery

Hello,This almost sounds like the Alternator stopped charging, and you used up the battery to the point the vehicle died and will not start. The reason I think this is, is because the lamps and accessories work until you attempt to start. Then all goes blank. The accessories may pull, what 20 amps if all are turned on, a starter will pull 200-350 depending on the condition of the starter. IE; the starter is sucking the life out of the battery.I would verify that all battery connections are clean and free of "acid hair" the white powder the grows on the terminals, and it has a full charge. If not, have it charged and get the charging system checked.

How do I reset the

you could try to take the negative cable off and turn the key on to discharge any voltage and put it back on, but be careful, cause on some newer models, if the batt. is disconected, it might lock up the radio and you would have to put in a code. some anti-=theft measure.
but if that dont work, you might have to take it to a dealer

Trunk pull down motor does

Hello: If the pull down motor case isn't broken, then before replacing the motor I would replace the pull down motor switch, it is black and on the left side of the motor, take note of how the switch is mounted on the motor (the position of the tang on the switch in relation to the actuator. The pull down switch is held on with one screw.

2001 cadillac eldorado esc 56000 miles rear

This is a pretty common problem for cadillacs, moct cadillacs have an excessive moisture problem. Excessive moisture in an air suspension system is mainly hard on compressors. One of the first things to go on a compressor is the vent solenoid. The reason for this is that whenever the vehicle vents(lowers), moisture is blown through the compressor, through the head of the compressor, through the vent solenoid, and then to the atmosphere. In a nutshell, the compressor is taking a bath everytime the car vents. The vent solenoid is basically just a little metal piston that goes up and down with a coil wrapped around it. When its subjected to moisture frequently, rust and corrosion will soon begin and get worse as time goes on. When the rust & corrosion gets bad enough, the coil won't be strong enough to move the metal piston any longer and becomes inoperative either in the open or closed position. If it freezes up in the closed position, the vehicle cannot vent the air in the air springs like the module wants it to. The result is a higher than normal rear height and a usually check suspension light on. What is commonly done, is just replace the compressor. This will get the vehicle operating normally....temporarily. Because nothing was ever done about the moisture, it will soon overwhelm the new dryer and damage the replacement compressor. To cure the root cause of the problem, you must remove the moisture from the system or protect the compressor from the moisture. The Dealership says to replace both air springs, replace the compressor/dryer assembly and replace all the lines in the system to the tune of about $1500.00. There are some alternatives though. You can buy an after market conversion kit for about a quarter of the cost of O.E air ride parts. To learn more PLEASE GO HERE
