Re;When I star my car I get a crank but no start I have to sit there and play with it. Questions; Is the check engine lamp illuminated ?? Does the problem occure at every start up attempt,or intermittent ??

If all the trans bolts are the same to the old one it will fit but you going to do a lot of mot to it as your old wires are going into that new engine put both engine side by side so you don't lose you take your old wire fist then you start whit on connecter at a time till your all don the computer won't know it a Bigger engine

That's a Misfire more then likely, A spark plug , or a coil breaking down or a plug wire if your vehicle has them ! Most vehicles have done away with spark plug wires an now have a single coil per cylinder called coil on plug ignition .Have you ever had spark plugs replaced ? If the spark plug gap becomes too worn (large) it can cause the high energy spark to find a path with less resistance . This high Voltage can back feed through the primary side of the ignition coil causing the driver (transistor) inside the PCM - engine computer to short out . This will cause you to have an expense you don't won't . Buying a new computer can cost several hundred dollars .

You could try that first but it could also be a wiring problem. Usually when the sensor fails your speedo stops working.

Engine light means that the computer has found a problem. Get the codes read and you will know more. Most auto parts places will read the codes for free.

With charge up battery max voltage from alternator should be 14.4 volt check if you got battery voltage on the alternator therminal in the back of your alternator if you got the same voltage as your battery your alternator is no good you need to change your alternator if you put 1 in dont forget your battery need to be full charge

First you have to find a problem The the solution will be almost obvious

Check for a blown fuse.

There should be a large fuse in the under hood fuse box that if blown for some reason would cause this issue

Your windows lack discipline. You should have nipped it in the bud as soon as they first started acting up. Now they are incorrigible.
