How to turn off car is due for service message?
You may need new spark plugs and air filter too but you can reset everything back by taking the negative battery cable off and then turning your ignition key to the on position and then turning on the headlights, heater and radio. after 30 minutes has passed then turn everything back off and don't forget the headlights and key and then re-attach the battery cable making sure you get it good and tight. Then start it and see if the light is still on. If so there is one other thing you might try. I just got through talking to someone who wanted to reset the alarm systen on their rig. How to open the volvo s40 from outside bettery
You need to release the bonnet from the release catch under by the steering wheel. Normally Red in colour. You need to pull it towards you.
When you go to the bonnet it should be slightly raised up. Put your hand in the middle and there should be a small handle catch for you to push to one side . you should be able to pull the bonnet up then.
My radio has stopped working . i want to check the fuse frist but dont know which one it is
The only thing I can suggest is you do it by trial and error . Remove 1 fuse at a time and see which other components stops working replace it and check the next one and so on. When I had a car that's what I did but there could be more than one component to a fuse .eg the radio could share a fuse with something else check if there is anything else not working .
My radio has stop working .i want to check the fuse but dont which one it is
I assume you don't have the owner's manual. I suggest start pulling fuses. If the fuse is blown, you'll see it. Most gas stations and big box stores sell variety packs of fuses for a couple bucks. If you do have the manual, it will give you the location. You can find some good into on volvo-forums.com as well.
