Hi Charlie.....when you lock your windows ? I didn`t know you could " lock the windows " -- my `04 doesn`t have that feature ... you don`t mean lock your doors...do ya ???
bummer..I was just at the dealer for an oil change and switch my winter over to summer tires....I would have asked then...
unfortunately Charlie...I have never had that problem ... sounds like something to do with the wiring ??? does the sound come back when you unlock them ?
other than that.... how do you like your Subaru ??? how many yrs you`ve been driving ?

Door open light is on but no door is open
The very first thing that must be done here is a complete scan of the engine electronics, this requires a scanner, an active and passive engine test must be performed. The dealer is the best choice for this testing. Until the test is done it's anybody's guess what is causing this to happen, and guessing is very expensive.

Look on the passenger side mounted to the heat duct with usally 2 screws. If your fan is not working try wiggling the connector most of the time its just a bad connection. These resistors get hot and melt the connector causing it to loose its connection.

Hi there i have fitted a new
When you turn on the lights or fan there is a draw on the system causing the alternator to kick in, therefore the higher voltage. Probably without them on and your battery is charged, the current would be less or none and you may just be measuring the battery voltage. If you discharge the battery the charging voltage will probably go up because then it will be in a charging state. So your new alternator is probably OK.
You can test it by driving --if the battery becomes discharged, then the alternator is not working
My subaru impreza 1994 wrx wagon drivers side window fault
Hello, the easiest way to find the relay is to look in your owners manual, but if you don't have one you can look in the under hood fuse/relay junction box which is under an oddly shaped black lid with 2 locking squeeze clips on it's sides. This box is on the drivers' side next to the shock tower, battery, and washer reservoir. Everyone knows that blinkers make a clicking sound... well, that's just a bigger version of what you'll be looking for. Relays make little clicking sounds and you can feel them as well if your touching one while it's being activated. It's still kind of hard to pinpoint which one is clicking so removing them one at a time is key. So, have someone in the car making the window in question operate again and again, while you are feeling which relay is clicking. If you pull out a relay and the window stops working even after cycling the ignition you'll know you found the one, then just pull another relay from another system, like foglamps(if equipped), or some other system thats not as important as a fuel pump, and stick it in the window relay spot to see if the window works full time now. If so, then just get another relay at any part store and your done. I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...

Did you receive an Owners Manual when you purchased this vehicle? If so, have you ever read a single word in it? That is the first place to look for this information. If you haven't got a copy then contact your nearest dealership's Service Department to find out where to fill it. Also, "Buy American" to help keep American Citizens Employed whenever you intend to buy another Vehicle.
