Why won't drivers side power window wont go up or down 2005 subaru forrister

The usual cause is the window motor is worn out. The mechanism (aka regulator) joints are also worn for a 2005. The fix is replace the regulator + motor assembly.

One of my remotes for the car works and the other one does not. I have used the same battery and cant seem to work out whats wrong

The remote buttons are internally soldered on to a circuit board, and with use, the solder joints break. Find a tech person in your area with a very small tip (ask if they have a pcb rework kit) who can fix the solder joint. If the remote now works, great! If not, look on Amazon for a suitable replacement. Read your owners manual on the process to add a new remote to your car.

Why won'tdrivers side power window wont go up or down 2005 subaru forister

The usual reason is the window motor bushes have worn out. Look on Amazon for a new Window Regulator kit that includes the window motor. This is FAR easier to install than pulling the kit out to replace the motor. I did this job on my 2005 recently, and it was necessary to cut up the regulator frame (messy job) to get the window glass out. This is NOT an issue if the glass is already up. If its stuck down, the cut-up job is required. If this job sounds beyond your mechanical skills, take it to a garage. The job takes about 3 hours.

Vibration in steering wheel on my 2005 Subaru Forester Xs at high speed

High speed vibration in steering is typically caused by an out-of balance wheel. I suggest having your wheels balanced.

I have a 2005 forester XT (south Africa). The car

At 213K km, there's wear in the valve guides (== more oil consumption), the O2 sensor(s) are getting tired, and the plug wires and plugs are old. All these can cause the jerkiness. Changing the plug wires would be a good start, followed by the plugs, unless thus has been done. A tired O2 sensor usually sets the occasional 420 error code. You could also try resetting the ECU. What this does is place it into a learning mode, and the jerkiness may disappear for a while. If it does, it means the ECU is running the engine around the edge conditions. Replacing the O2 sensor may help, but don't do it unless you get an error code. Also, check for exhaust leaks on the "donut" connection after the catalytic converter. Even a small leak can cause the O2 sensor to report "off" conditions.

My Subaru Forrester (2005) is

did it have this problem before you had it serviced. if not then guess what they did something wrong at the shop and need to fix there mistake. sluggish wont go away just changing the oil. if you suspect the brakes dragging. you would only need to jack up the wheels to see which one wont turn. and if a brake is dragging. it will get so hot you can feel the heat when you touch the center of the rim. might check for any vacuum leaks or if they connected the hose clamps from the air box to the intake.

Why doesn't it start?

I ran into this once when I changed a 2000 engine with a 2001 engine. The crankshaft gear for the timing belt was different. One had 2 ears for the crank angle sensor and one had 4. To check if this is the problem, pull all 4 sparkplugs, hook them to your plug wires, turn the engine over and see if you only have spark to 2 cylinders. If that's what you find then you will need to replace the crankshaft timing belt gear. If that's not it, and you have spark to all 4 cyls., check your fuses. It could be a fuel pump fuse or ECM or an number of other fuses. Good luck Dave

Where is the fuse box for the 2005 Subaru Forester?

Hello, the interior fuse box is usually located behind the left side dash. Look to see if your car has a small drop down coin compartment just left of your left knee if your sitting in the drivers seat. If you open the small compartment and pull straight back and up the compartment will pop off of its mounting tabs and the fuse box is inside. The fuse map/legend should be on the back of the compartment you just pulled out. The under hood fuse box is on the drivers side of the car, under the hood just inside of the left front fender. It's almost touching the battery and washer fluid reservoir. I hope this info helps.
