What causes my Engine to rev in hot weather
When your AC comes on, the engine automaticly increases your idle so the car won't stall from the added horsepower requirement from running the AC compressor. It's normal.

What year manual transmission fits to a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX?
Pretty much any "EJ" transmission will fit any "EJ" engine, the only problems are whether the clutch is a pull or push type release bearing? That will also make a difference how the clutch slave cylinder mounts up. If it isn't a turbo model trans, it will not take the HP that the engine puts out for very long. The Impreza STI manual trans will bolt up, but there will be some exhaust fitment issues where the down pipe bracket connects to the trans.

Head light not working
I was having the exact same problem. Changed out the fuse like the guy above said and all is well. However, in my investigation, I pulled the fuse for the passenger side and all the lights went out. Weird. Not sure what that was about. Put it back in and they all came back on.

My check engine light came
It could be a lot of things. Take it to any major auto parts store and have them run the codes. That will let you know what needs to be fixed.
