yes you can! take radio out unplug antenna plug and plug your new antenna plug, you may need and adapter, if so cut the plug of the old cable and have it match at a car stereo store or Radio Shack

investigate or get it investigated, because this could quite easily set fire to your car. i would seriously consider disconnecting it until problem sorted. unplug the whole unit and make sure no live wire/s are bare. hope this helps

you need to look at the fuel line (gas lines) to se if the clamps are loose,theyre about half inch diameter,with clamps on the ends of them with phillips head (star shaped) screw driver heads,if youre not sure just check all hoses with a screw clamp for tightness.even get garage attendant to look quickly,dont leave it ....may catch fire if gas hits exhaust!!!!

That is the first place I would be looking. Make sure they are all seated properly... could simply be tilted in the socket.

Not clear on your model year since you stated two seperate years. However I would not suspect the A/C compressor or it's clutch would be going out, but that is not always the case.

A cheaper fix (atleast something to look at prior to a new compressor) may actually be the belt. check to see if it's worn or showing signs of becoming glazed over.

hi it sounds like your controller is shorting out and burning the electrics, this can be quite bad as it doesnt always blow fuses and can cause car fires. An auto electrician would be able to fix quite easily or if you want to get a part from wreckers you will have to remove the door skin and everything should just unplug.

The clock works, correct? It is just not illuminating when your headlights are turned on? If this is the case then it is most likely that you have 2 burned out bulbs. The forester clock bulb is Sylvania bulb part #2723

Did you check the switch on top of the steering column? It will turn on your parking lamps separately from the headlamp switch, and it is in the customary position for a hazard flasher switch on Japanese cars - maybe someone bumped it by accident or turned it on when trying to get the 4-way flashers to work.

start engine look / lessen / and feel for the vacuun leak.
if you find it - take a small peice to the auto parts store and buy enough to do the job.

Is the cable broken? If not have someone pull firmly and steadily on the release handle while you strike the hood. Make a fist and use the fleshy area oppisite your thumb and a "hammer" motion not a punch. Use common sense not to dent the hood but you can pound it pretty firmly before it will dent the hood.
When you have the hood open be sure to lubricate the latch. Spray grease is best but WD-40 or similar is better than nothing. Also lower the bump stops for the hood. They are located in the hood or on the core support. I don't know about your Subaru but most cars built in the last 15 years or so you can rotate the bump stops with your fingers. If you have to set them so low that the hood looks bad then you have to adjust the height of the latch.

You may have pulled too hard and broken the link to the fuel tank. It is a wire. You will have to get it replaced or fixed.

your fan receives a certain amount of power that is usually dumbed down by a resistor( a coil inside of ceramic), in most cases that resistor blows, and on some occasions "hi" setting will still work but not in all cases. im pretty sure last time i had one replaced it was about $80 at the garage but im not sure if that included labor or not

thats a new car-hav u talked to the dealer-it may hav an issue or bullitin--sounds like a failin switch thats heatin up--also get car scanned

it is electric, so oil wont help, call your local parts store they should have access to one in a day or two
