A thought i had is that when replacing a battery, it usually takes a good drive down the highway for the computer to "re-calibrate" itself. I replaced my battery recently and the car did not run the same as usual until i took it for a 20 mile jaunt on the highway.

I do know that if you put the key in the ignition after you open the door and cycle the key from off to on 3 times fast within 5 seconds the alarm will disarm. Whether or not it is for good is unknown since you have to lock your doors again at some point. Measure the voltage on the alternator. Should be about 14v. Then measure on the battery. If its not the same, then the wire from the alternator to the battery is open. Look for a 60 or 80A fuse in the fuse box. Run a heavy gauge wire from the alternator to the battery and see if the charging works.

The first step is to verify that the lights have working bulbs and are getting 12v. Pull the light covers to access or undo the lamps, and check the bulbs. Measure the voltage on the supply wires. The fan will not quit completely if it is the resister, Did you check if a fuse is Blowin? Or the relay is defective, The blower motor could be shot , They don,t last for ever,. If resister is bad one of the speeds for the fan mostly quits working,

When you "muscled it into neural" you broke the shifter. Most likely it will take a replacement shifter to repair.

You have to remove the transmission drain pan to get access to the solenoid you will see it as soon as you remove the filter screen
