I recently changed my battery on a 2005 Forester
A thought i had is that when replacing a battery, it usually takes a good drive down the highway for the computer to "re-calibrate" itself. I replaced my battery recently and the car did not run the same as usual until i took it for a 20 mile jaunt on the highway.
Disarm car alarm without remote merc
I do know that if you put the key in the ignition after you open the door and cycle the key from off to on 3 times fast within 5 seconds the alarm will disarm. Whether or not it is for good is unknown since you have to lock your doors again at some point. Your remote is discontinued by Subaru, but the the newer remote for the 2005 to 2007 models will work on your car, unless you already have one. I hope this info helps!
How to troubleshoot your fog lights?
The first step is to verify that the lights have working bulbs and are getting 12v. Pull the light covers to access or undo the lamps, and check the bulbs. Measure the voltage on the supply wires. The lamps may (and often are) rusted and the bulbs are not grounding in the socket.
If there's no +12v, then look for a blown fuse.
