Van is losing water but
In a properly working system, the coolant expands as the coolant temp rises. The excess coolant flows into the overflow container by the hose that runs from the bottom of the overflow to the top of the radiator, under the radiator cap. When the coolant begins to cool down, it contracts, drawing fluid back into the radiator from the overflow. The water pump has a "weep" hole located near the bottom of the pump housing that will leak coolant if the pump is going bad. In some engines, the 3.0, the water pump is located under the camshaft timing belt cover, and is a BEAR to deal with. However, the coolant should be pulled into the radiator when the engine cools, so check that the hose from the top of the radiator is attached to the bottom of the overflow and that it is not blocked or pinched. Have the system pressure tested to verify that it has no leaks. Hope this helps. Dano

Engine has no spark there
sounds like ignition control moduel has gone out, this is what controls your spark to you plugs..But it could be your fuel pump is not working properly..You need this car to be checked out for fuel pressure and spark to see what is the real problem..This is going to need real tech with equip. to check out..call around to some mobile mechanics and get some prices on what they would charge to check it out..should be no more than 20-30 min....to check it out..

sounds like fuel starvation.
did you run the car to the limit or run out recently?
you may have sucked up dirt from the bottom of the tank which is now blocking your fuel system.
if you crank over for a while and dont smell gas at the exhaust then it could be there is not fuel getting through.
remove the fuel line from the engine and see if fuel pumps out when you turn over engine.
just do a short turnover with pipe into a jar or some vessel to catch the gas.
if that is ok, replace pipe, also check fuel filter is not blocked, if one is fitted.
then there maybe a blockage in the carb or injectors remove spark plugs and crank over and see if you can see gas vapour.
warning do not use flame to see as this will cause explosion.
I hope this was useful.
Recently change the radiatior do to a leak , car
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. To be honest, someone would need to check the vehicle out more then likely. You need to make sure that you have the correct amount of transmission fluid in your car. Try to see if you are leaking fluid anywhere. When a car overheats, it can mess other things up. I am not saying this is your case, but it is possible that something may have happened. If the fluid is correct, you can try changing the fluid and filter. If that doesn't help, it will need looked at. The gears in the transmission could be faulty, faulty sensors, seals, ect. None the less, it needs taken care of asap. Best wishes. If you do have to take it in, take it to someone you can trust.

could be a bad radiator, thermostat, not enough antifreeze in coolant, or worse a bad head gasket, just to give you an idea where to check next
Do i ck the tranny fluid level with motor running
To get an accurate level reading, the Van should be running, and motor warm...If it has been sitting without driving...with your foot on the brake...shift between forward and reverse gears a few times...The Lucas Oil Tranny Stabilizer works wonders on older transmissions...it can be added without draining any fluid. If you decide to top off with tranny fluid instead...read the brand labels at your parts store...each brand should specify the "make of car" it is designed for. Hope this helps.
