2001 Lexus ES300 won't start
I have a 2005 ES330!
The dealership does all my repairs, but I found this.
This is how I reset the security system each time after disconnecting the battery:
- Insert master key (non-remote master) into driver's side door.
- Remove key.
- Insert master remote key into driver's side door.
- Remove key.
- Insert master key (non-remote master) into ignition.
- Remove key.

The is additional information in the link. If that doesn't work, the best place to ask would be the Club Lexus forum.

2001 Lexus ES300 - can't start, but both alternator and battery had no problems according to dealer's mechanic
Do you go long periods of time without cranking or driving your car. If you go a week or more without running the car it can run a battery down, maybe two weeks for some cars. My daughter 08 impala will run down after 7 or 8 days so I pull the negative cable off the battery. Some cars will have radio problems if battery is disconnected that may be why they want it on a charger. The fact you drove to dealership before it died would seem to me to be a alternator problem. Did the dealership actually test for voltage at battery and alternator voltage to battery. Most cars I have had the battery will run about 12.7 or above voltage when off. While running it usually runs over 14 to 15.5 at battery, depending on vehicle if the alternator is charging.
Super stiff suspension
Most likely it is a bent or seized shock absorber - remove and test by hand and replace if necessary. For best practice replace in pairs.
How do I fix code p1354
The problem could be:
- Dirty or low engine oil
- Valve timing
- Oil control valve
- Variable Valve Timing controller assembly
- Engine Control Module (ECM)
There is an oil control valve on the head that allows oil pressure to change the cam timing. If it gets dirty or sticks, you have this error.
No high beams, even to flash.
You can try this, it worked on a friend of mines ES 300 with the similar problem, Disconnect the wires from the battery clean the terminals on the battery, Now instead of connecting the cables back to the battery connect the cables to each other- While the cables are connected this way make sure that they DO NOT come in contact with ANYTHING metallic on the car. Leave the cables connected this way for at least 20 minutes, then reconnect the cables back to the battery, make sure you have your radio code before you disconnect the battery,
Trac off check engine
Newer cars do not like jumping other cars, because of voltage spikes.Check any and all fuses. You might have to replace the computer.
Oil on spark plug
Most likely your valve cover gaskets and the spark plug gaskets need to be replaced.. when they are old they start to deteriorate and allow oil in the spark plug.
How to replace the ecu on a lexus 300es
very simple remove the front radiator sheild it should have 6 plastic clips on it. if you dont know wat that is its the big black plastic cover right when u pop the hood. u will see a 10mm bolt on the top of the headlamp assembly remove that bolt you will also see a screw on the other side on top of the parking lamp assembly remove the srew after the screw is removed u will b able to slide out the parking assembly after that has been removed u will see one more 10mm bolt holding the headlight assembly in place remove that and the headlight assembly will slide out after it is out unplug the 3 electrical connectors from the back of the assembly remove the assembly. if u flip it over their will be four screws on the bottom of the assembly remove the four screw and take the plastic plate off u will see a steal box that is ur headlight CM remove the two electrical connectors off the box one of them goes to the headlight twist off the headlight waterproof cap and un plug.. should take you no more than 30mins
