can you help
Yeah- you have to remove three screws from under the steering colum cover plate. Mine were T25 Torx. It's a long hole, so you have to get a stand-alone T25 Torx driver, rather than a bit.
After that, the bottom will pop right off. To get the top off, grab the tilt adjuster and twist it counterclockwise until it comes out. Pull it out and the top cover comes right off.

I have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 6 Cy Auto and of course 4 X 4. The Neutral Safety Sensor Switch had been acting up when the front of the Jeep was sitting low and in Park, but always started when in neutral, however now it is acting up there.
Where is the Neutral Safety Sensor Switch located.
Thanks for any help.....
OK then the switch is part of the gear selector switch on the side of the trans where the shift linkage hooks up. here is a picture and part number.

OBD error code 72 on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic, 6 cyl, 4wd. 72 in not in my code list for this vehicle, but comes back to the catalytic converter in other vehicles. I used the "key switch on/off" for this test. Repeated it 3 times. I also get error code 12, battery or computer disconnected recently. Is replacing the Catalytic Converter expensive???
How do I fix 12?
Your suggestions are appreciated.
well code 12 is what it shows up first telling you it's running the test that is normal. if it reads code 12 and nothing else then that means everything is fine. well catalytic converters are expensive to buy i price checked one for you at auto zone its $147.99 with a 5yr warranty. good luck hope i helped

my 1996 jeep cherokee will not turn over, the battery is good. all lights and bells and tha radio will come on with about 12 amps on the gauge. when I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump engage but nothing when I turn the key fully to start. I have cleaned the battery posts, i have checked the connection to the starter and all seems good. what do I check next?
i can fix this problem for youmine does the same thing take your left hand and turn the key to start with the right hand ,with the car in park do not pust the park button in and just pull the stick back as far as it will go toward reverse if that doesnt work just push it forward and back till it starts

door locks keeps blowing fuse on jeep ,could it be one of the door locks
You have a dead short and yes it could be in one of the door lock switches, figure out which one is blowing the fuses and take it out, might just have a wire that came loose in the back and is causing it to short out when you hit the switch button.

Hi! To find a manual may be difficult. Perhaps this link is interesting.

hit in the rear axle. I hear a grinding noise while driving. I also hear a grinding noise while turning. Could this be bushings, sway bar, front drive shaft?
Hit in the rear axle may have damaged bearings or brake parts. Jack up the side you hear noise from, put on stand, then have helper rotate wheel while you look underneath and listen to see where noise is coming from. Use length of old fuel or heater hose, one end in ear, to locate exactly where noise comes from.
