Likely, you have a hydraulic clutch system. Check clutch master cylijnder for fluid and leakage, check hydraulic line and slave cylinder for leaks. If fluid low or empty, bleed as you would a brake wheel cylinder. If full, have someone work the clutch while you watch slave cylinder to make sure it is moving clutch fork. If system full and little or no movement, the master may be "bypassing" internally (replace) Also, check pedal mechanical linkage. Not often but sometimes these parts can break! Could also be athat clutch itself is worn, but this does not happen overnight and you would have noted slip long before this!

Check the connection to the speed sensor gear. It will be a cable plugged into the output shaft on the top of the transfer case (behind the transmission). It is possible that it became disconnected or has a broken wire.

Fuel ECU fuse keeps blowing (30 amp)

i just bought a 93 wrangler with a 4.0 the other day and yesterday it really started messing up, the fuel ecu fuse keeps blowing, i went through 6 fuses yesterday and cant figure out the problem, when the fuse blows the jeep dies, when i put a new fuse in the jeep it wont start back up unless i poor gas on the air cleaner like im priming it, it seems like the fuel pump shuts down for a while also when it happens, i tried to reset the ecu but did not help, can anyone help, any suggestions? thanx

Your fuel pump is internally binding and causing the fuse to blow. Change the pump (and filter while you're back there.)

Manual Transmission
The level of lubricant in the transmission should be maintained at the filler hole on all manual transmissions. This hole is on the right side. When you check the level in the transmission, make sure that the vehicle is level so that you get a true reading. When you remove the filler plug, lubricant should run out of the hole. Replace the plug quickly for a minimum loss of lubricant. If lubricant does not run out of the hole when the plug is removed, lubricant should be added until it does. Replace the plug as soon as the lubricant reaches the level of the hole.

DRAIN AND REFILL
Remove the drain plug which is at the bottom of the transmission. Allow all the lubricant to run out before replacing the plug. Replace the case with the correct viscosity oil. All manual transmissions use SAE 75W-90 API quality Grade GL-5 gear lubricant. Tighten the fill hole plug to 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).

I hope help you with this (rermember rated this help) Good luck.

transmission is stuck in reverse but the shifter

transmission is stuck in reverse but the shifter is in neutral and will not go in gear

Check for wear in the gear lever selector/gate mechanism.
It may have allowed the lever to select reverse, the 'jump' the lockout gate back to neutral position for selection of forward gears.
You may be able to de-select reverse if you access the lever directly at the gearbox case.

i have a 92 yj 2.5l 5 speed. it has only after warming up a misfire/rough idle. its fine when its cold and once it warms up and idle comes down it misfires/idles really rough. may be lacking power also. i have changed the plugs,wires,cap,rotor,coil,o2 sensor. it still does the same thing. any ideas ? i was thinking it could be map / throttle position sensor related. what do you think ?

check that the EGR valve is not sticking or has a vacuum leak. This valve will not operate until the engine is warm.

check also the engine coolant temp sensor (ECT). This sensor tells the engine computer that the engine has warmed up, so if it is faulty, it could be sending wrong information to the computer. If the sensor is disconnected, wires to it broken, or faulty in full cold mode, it will tell the computer that the engine is very cold, like -40F. The computer will schedule fuel for cold conditions. This is usually way too much fuel for a warm engine and it will rich misfire, idle rough, and be difficult to start warm.

The ECT has two wires going to it and is dedicated to sending information to the engine computer. It has nothing to do with your dash gauge that shows coolant temp. That sender has only one wire and is dedicated to the coolant temp gauge.

How can I remove the brake booster linkage from the brake pedal?

How can I remove the brake booster linkage from the brake pedal?

I don't know exactly what type of clip is used, but generally you must find a way to get your head up under dash and use some kind of light to see the linkage. The part from the booster should have an "H" type end with a pin that goes through it and the brake pedal arm, with a cotter pin or circlip retaining it. Once you get the retaining clip out, it may be necessary to use a thin screwdriver to pry the pin out. Be sure to disconnect the battery first so you don't short something out. Good luck--it is not easy.
