Need to check atomatic transmission
Automatic transmissions all use ATF fluid. Select a known brand, preferably one that is manufactured and marketed by one of the big name petroleum companies.
Is there a way to
There is no adjustment on or in the transmission. If the bands aren't holding it is because they are excessively worn. However the problem could also be low transmission fluid, a weak transmission pump, a blockage in the fluid passeges or even a clogged transmission filter.

About EGR valve, alot codes could mean several things to check or diferent ways to solve it.
We need to know exactly what code is stored there; send us this code number to look specific information about your diagnostic and solve method. Try to scanned the PCM and note this DTC Fault Code numbers to let us know.

O2 sensor(s) need replacing. Does anyone know
You do not change any O2 Sensors based on an OBD2 Code
You change sensors,front 2 only at 80,000 to 100,000 miles
You use a 22 mm wrench or special O2 socket.
Some veh use a diffent size

I get an engine knock when I first start it in the
Check if there is still one more prominent noise above the others even after you think it is gone by taking a long screwdriver, rest it on the valve cover and put the other end (handle) on your ear or the bone close to it.
Of course, stay clear of rotating parts.
If you still hear something louder during the idle, characterize it as a 'click' or a knock.
If the first, it is probably time to check valve clearances, if it is a knock, it could the early warning of a rod bearing failure.
An engine analyzer could make short work of determining the nature of the noise so if you value your truck, have a pro go over it.
What type of oil do
If you're talking about engine oil, most cars/trucks use 5w30 or 10w30. Make sure to use a decent quality oil, check the codes on the container. Some vehicles with turbos require a specific grade.
Excessive play in the steering
The steering gear box is worn out. And, there's probably worn front suspension components adding to the problem. You will need to check the following parts for looseness or movement: Idler Arm, Upper and Lower Ball Joints, Control Arm Bushings, Pitman Arm, Inner and Outer Tie Rod Ends, Front Hub Bearings. All of these can be replaced in your driveway with the exception of the Control Arm Bushings which are pressed in and require special tools to remove and install the bushings. If you can't replace all of them, concentrate your efforts on the following: Steering Box, Idler arm, and Control Arm Bushings. If you can afford to have all of them done, the front suspension would be factory fresh and should, with proper wheel alignment, drive like a new car.

Timing belt installation
1. Ensure locking bolts located correctly [4] & [5] in the picture below:
CS = Crankshaft
CA = Camshaft
IP = Injection Pump
2. Ensure timing marks aligned [10].
3. Fit timing belt in clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket.
NOTE: "ISUZU" lettering on belt should be readable from front of engine.
4. Slacken tensioner pulley bolt [9]. Push tensioner pulley against belt.
5. Ensure belt is taut between injection pump sprocket and tensioner pulley as well as crankshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket.
6. Position tensioner lever [8] against tensioner pulley housing.
7. Remove locking bolts from sprockets [4] & [5].
8. Apply a load of 10 ... 12 kg to tensioner lever. Use spring balance [11].
9. Tighten tensioner pulley bolt to 80 Nm.
10. Turn crankshaft slowly 45 degrees anti-clockwise. Use spring balance to tension belt.
11. Repeat tensioning procedure at 45 degrees intervals for one anti-clockwise turn of the crankshaft.
NOTE: DO NOT turn crankshaft clockwise during tensioning procedure!
12. Fit tensioner lever to original position. Tighten nuts [12].
13. Install: Injection Pump flange [6], Camshaft sprocket flange [7], and water pump pulley.
14. Install components in reverse order of removal & refill coolant.
