If you disconnect your battery for an hour and then reconnect, the dvd will just pop right out. This happened to us, Honda did not know how to fix it and they wanted me to pay $400 for a new one. But while they were trying to figure it out they were sticking screwdrivers and pens into it and have now broken the whole system and refuse to pay for it.

2005 honda odyssey homelink programming

2005 honda odyssey homelink programming

If you just received your vehicle and have not trained any of the buttons in HomeLink before, you should erase any previously learned codes before training the first button. To do this, press and hold the two
outside buttons on the HomeLink Transceiver for about 20 seconds, or
until the red indicator flashes.
Release the buttons, then go to step 1.
If you are training the second or third buttons, go directly to step 1.

1. Unplug the garage door opener motor from the electrical outlet.
2. Hold the end of the garage door opener remote 2 to 5 inches from HomeLink. Make sure you are not blocking your view of the red indicator in HomeLink.
3. Press and hold the remote transmitter button and one of the HomeLink buttons at the same time.
If the red indicator in HomeLink begins to flash slowly at first, then rapidly, release both buttons, and go to step 5. If the red indictor in HomeLink continues to flash slowly (does not flash rapidly), your remote transmitter may stop transmitting after a short time. Go to step 4.
4. Press and hold the remote transmitter button and one of the HomeLink buttons at the same
time. While continuing to hold the HomeLink button, press and release the remote transmitter button every 2 seconds. If the red indicator in HomeLink begins to flash slowly at first, then rapidly, release both buttons, and go to step 5. If the red indicator in HomeLink continues to flash slowly (does not begin to flash rapidly), repeat steps 2 thru 4.
5. Plug in the garage door opener motor, then test the HomeLink button by pushing it for about 1
second. If the button works, programming is complete. If the button does not work go to step 6.
6. Push and hold the HomeLink button for a few seconds, then watch the red indicator on HomeLink.
If the indicator stays on or flashes slowly, repeat steps 2 thru 5. If the indicator flashes rapidly
for 2 seconds then stays on, you have a rolling code transmitter. Go “Training with a Rolling Code System”
7. two HomeLink buttons to operate any other compatible remotely controlled devices around your
home (lighting, automatic gate, security system, etc.).
Repeat these steps to train the other

2006 Honda Odyssey AC Compressor not working

2006 Honda Odyssey AC Compressor not working

HI. Here is a complete check list that will help you trouble shot this issue. You will find the problem in one or more of these areas stated below.

1. Check Drive Belts - The air conditioner utilizes a drive belt that supplies power to rotate the compressor, which is basically a refrigerant pump. If the belt fails the compressor has nothing to drive it, inspect and replace as needed to restore operation. If belt is intact proceed to the next step.

2. Check for Compressor Clutch Engagement - Turn the air conditioner to the "on" position and set controls to the coldest setting. Start the engine and allow to idle. Then open the hood and inspect the clutch at the front of the compressor, is it turning? "Engaged" if so, the system has enough refrigerant to activate. If the system is low on refrigerant it will not work properly. In this case an air conditioner recharge kit is needed to recharge the system. If the system is low on refrigerant it could cycle on and off, making a ticking noise. If the compressor clutch is not turning proceed to next step.

3. Inspect for Refrigerant Leaks - If the system has a large leak and no refrigerant remains it will not activate. First test system for a static pressure charge, with the engine off attach an ac gauge to the low side pressure port and check the state of charge. Depending on outside temperature there should be between 50 psi and 80 psi. (Cool and warm). A refrigerant leak detector is needed to inspect for leak, but if you do not have a leak detector there is an alternative method. The air conditioner system is designed to run with oil suspended in the refrigerant to lubricate the system. Check for oily residue outside the system by inspecting all hoses, compressor, condenser, evaporator or receiver drier and replace any component that has failed.

4. Inspect Fuses - Check under dash panel and under hood power distribution center. Replace failed fuses as needed, recheck system. If the new fuse fails when reinstalled a short circuit is present and requires diagnosing with a wiring schematic, follow circuits to locate short, repair as needed and recheck system.

5. Check Temperature Control Vents - The vents inside your car are controlled by a cable, electrical servo or vacuum servo. If the temperature blend door is not functioning properly it will cause warm air from the heater to exit the vents. To check this start the car and allow the engine idle, next turn the blower motor speed on low, switch the temperature control from warm to cold while your ear is close to the vents. You should hear the door move inside the heater box as it swings from open to close. If not, insect for a vacuum leak or a shorted motor in the servo, repair the leak or replace the servo motor.

how to reset anti theft alarm on 2006 honda

how to reset anti theft alarm on 2006 honda odyssey

Posted by on

Answer

  • Most Helpful of 1 Answers

To reset the anti-theft alarm, press the panic button. If that doesn't work then unlock the driver's side door with the key, hold the key in the unlock position for a few seconds, and that would the car recognize that the key is correct ad the alarm may stop running. Also, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it may do the trick.
However, If that doesn't work, you may need to put in some manual work.
There are two sensors in place that run the alarm if they see something out of place-one is an ignition sensor, and the other is a door sensor. If the alarm goes off, there might be a genuine issue, or the alarm is giving false alerts owing to a malfunctioning sensor.
Here are some things you can do to fix the problem:
• Inspect the door sensors and the electrical connection of the power doors-they may have dust or moisture on them, which results in false alerts or they simply may have worn out.
• If that does not solve the problem, check the fuse numbered 13 or 5 (as per the manual), and ensure that it has not blown out

My honda odyssey touring does

My honda odyssey touring does not have a spare tire. We bought this as a brand new car. The first time i had a flat tire we checked everywhere in the car even with AAA service help and we were not able to find a spare tire.

2005 Honda Odyssey TOURING models originally came with Michelin PAX run-flats and eliminated the traditional dough-nut spare. If your van no longer has run-flats (look at the tire size) then your van has already been De-PAX'd...count your lucky stars because PAX tires run about 300 a tire plus!!! If you have been De-PAX'd then you will need a donut spare (T135/80D17) this goes into the spare tire space located behind the 3rd row of seats. this Site has everything you will need for the spare http://www.hondapartworld.com/1534_SPARE-SHJ

If your DVD player is acting up, a reset might solve the issue. Disconnect the battery and pull out fuse number five from the inside fuse compartment in the driver's foot area.
Let the fuse breathe for at least twenty minutes and the battery for a few hours and then put it back.

Most of the DVD "No disc" problems are caused by the glitch of DVD laser lens. Cleaning DVD laser lens is not easy and requires patients and carefulness. You can start out buy trying to blow away the dust, if that doesn't work, you can try use a DVD cleaning disc. If you think it's too expensive, you can also open the player and clean it manually.
