Check that the seat belt has got jammed & this is what can be stopping the seat's staying up as they have something stopping the seats locking into place. Best Wishes, Malcolm Campbell.

I understand your frustration. The difference is a technical service bulletin is a common problem, They don't repair it free. That's only on a safety recall.

If you disconnect your battery for an hour and then reconnect, the dvd will just pop right out. This happened to us, Honda did not know how to fix it and they wanted me to pay $400 for a new one. But while they were trying to figure it out they were sticking screwdrivers and pens into it and have now broken the whole system and refuse to pay for it.

If it just shut off without warning, it could be a crank or cam sensor, or it could be something more sinister. How many miles are on the vehicle. This is a 10-year-old machine. Have you ever had the timing belt serviced/replaced? If not, it may have broken, and this will shut you down big time. One easy test for this...does the engine, when cranking, seem to crank a lot faster now than it used to before it stalled out? If so, prepare for the worst. A timing belt replacement normally costs about $300.00 for parts, and a bit more than that for labor. But if the belt breaks, you have the additional problem with the engine being an interference engine. This means that when the belt breaks, the crankshaft and camshaft get out of sync with each other, and then the pistons come up and crush into the valves, causing internal engine damage. This will require, at a minimum, the cylinder head to be remanufactured and could also result in piston damage which must be determined at the time the cylinder head is removed. Now you are in the range of $1500.00 - $2000.00 repair depending on who and where you get it serviced.

Reset the Oil Maintenance Light on a 2005-2015 Honda Odyssey:

1. Turn the ignition to position "On" without starting the engine.
2. Press the Select/Reset button until it displays the "oil life percentage"
3. Then, press and hold the knob until the oil life percentage begins to blink.
4. Release the knob.

If a/c does not blow, check the blower fuse and high speed relay. If all checks good, you may have a bad blower motor. Sometimes, hitting on top of the passenger side dash top, the blower motor may come on. If that works, you still will need to replace blower motor. If a/c doesn't blow cold but the blower motor runs......... check the front a/c condenser located in front of radiator for a hole that was caused by a rock from the highway that could have punctured it. That's a common problem.

Rods connect the handle to the latch. Plastic clips holds the rod in place. the clip is broken. They dry rot and fall apart.

after spending an hour or so, with your hands, arms, fingers and lower back aching....you will kick yourself if the solution is just THIS easy. Trust me, we speak from experience!!

Many times, the rear seat in the van is folded and down in the well compartment,and for the life of you, it wont come up. The problem, you may think is because, like us, you were a dope and let the strap fall to the bottom and you can't leverage it up. or maybe you spent an hour online praying and searching for a solution; only to find NOTHING! ha. well, we thought about setting up a fee for this, but, na, we thought it would be nicer to just list the easy solution for FREE!

ok, here it is....many times what you think is folded and down....is NOT REALLY fully down. if it didnt CLICK down, it aint down. which means its "ALMOST" down. so dont beat yourself pulling UP on it if its not YET DOWN!
solution: climb in and onto the 'down' third seat, and jump on the mother F*&^^R, and you will hear a soft 'click'.
NOW its "DOWN".
all you have to do is simply, effortlessly (strap or NO strap) lift that damn third seat up.

Yes, its that easy.

i would go to the honda dealer they can tell u were it is on the car, and give you a diagram of were it is or google its location on that van and see
