Rear seat won't fold down (60 part of 60/40 seat)

I have always been able to fold down both parts of the 60/40 rear seats. A few weeks ago, I had both sections folded down and then put them both back up. After that, the 60 part of the seat won't fold over anymore ... I am trying to take the seat apart to see what is wrong but am having a hard time. Anyone know how to fix this?

I had the same problem on my '03. The seats would not fold down using the latch release as I had always done. So I tried a combination of pulling up on the side latch AND the top latch and the seat folded down. It really doesn't FIX the problem but circumvents offending  defective part. I will use this method until it doesn't work then I might shell out the $$$$$ to the dealer.

There is a little fuse box to the left of the steering wheel with a cover over it. When you take off the cover on the under side of the cover there is a big number (like big font size) printed on a piece of paper. It like 5 or 6 digits long and obviosly numbers that can go into your stereo, like 1-6. If you type it in and it works it will make a beeping sound.

If that doesnt help, call your local Honda dealership and get the code from them. You can also obtain a user manual. All the needed info can be found on this page:

2003 Honda Pilot Rear door lock not working

My 2003 Honda Pilot rear right door won't lock or unlock. The fuses under the hood and right passenger side fuse boxes are fine. I confirmed it's getting power on the plug to the door switch. I think the problem is the switch but don't know how to remove/replace it. Please provide instruction if anyone can help.

Honda Pilot 111,000 miles. Wheel or tire noise?

Honda Pilot 111,000 miles.
I hear a pulsating 'roaring' noise on all types of road surfaces even at low speeds(20 mph), louder at 40mph, then doesn't seem as loud at 65-70 mph, probably because the pulsating at that speed is to fast. Honda dealer and an Independent repair shop say it is tire noise. My son-in-law thinks it's a CV joint or wheel bearings. What do you think?

it can be any of the above, rotate the tires and see if the noise location seems to change, but the last thing i would suspect is the CV, they just click when turning, the wheel bearing is my choice here, they roar, tires make a diff noise.

Refer to the vehicles user guide to ascertain hiden codes provided exclusively to the owner and operator of the vehicle. However, Usually computers that have only six number pads may have one of the button performing dual functions. For example, unless there were a menu button on the vehiclel stereo to control settings to acheive zero in place of one of the numbers, a press of on of the six numbers should produce a second funcion as zero figure. However, unless that the vehicle has been replaced with another stereo device still expecting the same features of only six number required from a new stereo having seven key functions. Inquir about the vehicles authentic stereo parts may have been replaced soon after acquisition from manufactuer.

Apparently what has most likely happened is you were on a wet or ice road and may have lost traction on the road. You may have never even noticed, but your vehicle did. The vehicle compensated for the road condition & probably revved the engine a little to low, which probably turned on the check engine light. This is a scenario only.

The best way to find out what's wrong is to have the computer scanned for trouble codes. The trouble code will point to the problem. Several auto parts stores will do this for free or rent you a scanner so you can scan it yourself. If the code isn't obvious or you need more help you can come back here and I'll walk you through figuring it out.

It also could be you need to change the rear differential fluid. There was a TSB for this vehicle. I am not sure if your vehicle falls into it. You could check with the dealer as well.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day

vtm-4 code 119-1

car was taken to local mechanic because "srs" light came on. Had a complete diagnostic run -- was unable to locate problem with "srs", but the analysis machine stated vtm - 4 code 119-1 problem. The local mechanic said he never heard of it and it may be a dealership thing only. The vtm - 4 controls the all wheel drive in winter time if engaged for snow or ice conditions on road, converts from all wheel drive to a 4 wheel drive.

The code you mentioned is not valid. A possible fix is to replace batteries. Otherwise, you should head down to the dealership or your trusted mechanic, don't try to DIY, this is some complicated stuff if you are not a technician.
