When its hot outside my

it is very hard to tell. but if check engine light is on get it scanned for problem codes then repost . it could be anything from fuel pressure to a bad crank or cam sensor. auto-zone will scan vehicle for free to find the problem codes. a bad coolant tempurature sensor will keep vehicle from starting when cold. get it scanned if check engine light is on. I know that a check engine light will not allways come on if a sensor is failing. so just check it out. have a good day !! on some vehicles the thermostat and radiator pressure cap have an effect on car when its hot out. check out thermostat first.

In have a 2000 town&country

Hi there.
I can only think that the battery is totally gone (no circuit between +and - terminals)
So when the jump cables are connected the normal connections are made to complete the circuit
This is assuming the cable ends are making a good connection with battery terminals
I hope this helps to resolve your problem

Battery light on the dash came on last light.

No fuses. If you don't have a meter to check the altenator. You can start the van and pull the positive cable from the battery. if it dies then it's the altenator for sure.

I only hearaclick when I try to start it

if the click you hear is near or at the starter this sounds like the starter solenoid is not working properly.the clicking sound is the solenoid trying to make contact to transfer the voltage through the solenoid to allow the battery voltage to the starter itself.you can change the solenoid itself but i would suggest replacing the whole starter motor as it comes with a new solenoid, and the starter that is on it will most likely stop working shortly and you will have to replace it anyway.

What is the error code # 99 for the CD player in a

Error 99 is CD not up to speed. Either the CD is slipping, Defective CD, pickup is unable to read sectors and is either dirty pickup or pickup going bad. If it's under warranty, call it in. Most likely being 11 years old it's out of warranty. You may very well need to purchase a new one from the parts yard or online and install it.

The ignition key not turning

Try spraying some lubricant where you put your key in, move the key in and out a few times, it sounds like your tumblers in your ignition is sticking.

Ignitin switch will not move with key How do you

Before you do anything with the ignition key check the gear shift lever is not stuck in gear or there is no problem with the transmission. I am assuming you have an automatic transmission.

The gear position P sensor might be faulty. There is an interlock between gear shift and the ignition switch.

Engine strats, runs for thirty seconds shuts down

Fuel pump is bad. It still runs enough to get gas to the engine, but doesn't put out the pressure to keep it running. Replace the fuel filter with it.

Ticking coming from engine 2000 town and country

Ticking is usually a sign of improper oil level or exhaust leaks often have a ticking sound. Try to listen to see if its in time with the normal exhaust sounds. If the oil level is fine and it doesnt sound like the exhaust, its probably a small mechanical issue. Get it checked out by a mechanic before the ticking object breaks and becomes worse.

At 28,066 dealer oil change.

First dealer was NOT doing you any justice. Next oil change run a can of GUNK engine flush let idle 5-10 mins then change Oil & Filter and use a good oil like Castrol or Valvoline 10w-30. You won't have "supposed" sludge build up.

A belt keeps slipping off

Check to see that no bolts or mounting brackets are loose causing the power steering pump to be out of alignment with the rest of the pulleys. When replacing the belt make sure it is seated correctly on the pulley because if it is one ridge off it will cause the belt to shred very quickly.

My brake fluid resevour empied

Do not drive this car!!! And do not attempt to bleed the brakes on this car!!!!!
There is a LEAK in the Hydraulic system- that`s why the pedal went to the floor.
Most probable cause is rusted / weak brake lines under beneath the car. Once these lines leak, you have to replace them. This is my guess taking into consideration the age of your car. Other possible causes could other Hydraulic components. Please have your van towed to your repair shop for further inspection and an estimate. If you have CAA or other towing memberships, this will be the right time to tow your van. Adding more fluid or bleeding the brakes will NOT help you here. Hydraulic pressure is lost and repairs must be done to bring back your brake pedal..
Be safe to yourself and other`s -TOW your van....

I lost both turn signal completely as well as the

The fuse is in the internal fuse panel but the problem may be the flasher unit itself. Both are located at the interior fuse panel normally located under the dash at the drivers console, door side or behind the hidden panel on the side of the dash on the drivers side. You can access this by opening the door and looking at the side of the dash, you should see a panel that can be removed and the fuse panel will be behind that. I don't know exactly which year Chrysler started using that spot but that is the second place I would look for it.

How do i change the oil pressure sensor on a 2000

1st locate your sensor, most of the time, they are up on the engine itself, you will need a oil sending socket and ratchet to do the job, once you locate your sensor, disconnect the wiring connector to it, then remove the sensor, and before you install the new one, take some white teflon tape, that you can buy at a auto part store, and wrap some tape around the threads of the new sensor, [ normally 2-3 rounds is enough tape. ] install the new sensor straight in to the opening, make sure you don't cross thread it, after you get the sensor started, then tighten it up as much as you can with your hand, then finish tightning with ratchet and socket, [ do not over tighten ] then hook wire connection back up, and you are ready to go, start vehichle up and check for any leaks, of the sensor, they shouldn't be any, if you followed these instructions, hope that this has been helpful to you.
