Have some small leakage on
It could have for sure but it will come back sometime in the future. It would be wise to start planning for its replacement now. Hope this helps.
I have a 2000 eldorado
yes sounds like but their is a fuel pump in tank and it has a bag on it to help prevent dirt and other substances from getting in.i have the expierence of removing the pump out of tank and found debree around bag causing it clogg up while driving .what happens is the pump is pulling fuel threw bag along with dirt and debree.once car shuts off sucktion of pump releases and sediments flow away from bag letting gas flow again untill it pulls dirt to bag blocking gas from comming in lines
I replaced a factory cd player and now when i
Unplug your batteries negative terminal and let it sit for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, reinstall the battery cable and see if the security system is reset. A lot of times when removing the radio, the blue security wire comes undone and does not have a place to be plugged back in to the radio, causing the alarm to sound.
Make sure you install all of the wires in your radio. If you have stray wires, this is likely your culprit and will have caused your system to falter. Try grounding the loose wires as a precaution.
Hope this helped!
Passenger side of 2000 eldorado
That is a correct diagnosis, getting into the HVAC blower box is an in depth process that can often go awry if not taken care of by some one that is thoroughly mechanical. Is this something that you are preparing ot do yourself?

First thing to do is read the system and post any codes that it is giving. That aside this vehicle uses the simple Passkey2 system. There is a pellet in the key that is actually a resistor. That pellet contacts with a circuit in the ignition key cylinder and is read by the BCM. You say you cleaned it up, was it giving you problems before this and you felt like after you cleaned it up made it work? If you have a simple multimeter, the first thing to do is to put it on resistance(OHMS) and place the leads on both sides of the pellet. Place it on the highest scale if it is not an auto ranging meter. You should get some type of reading other than zero if it is good. Be sure to place it on something flat or make sure that your fingers aren't touching the pellet as you can get a false reading. If it gives a reading then visually inspect the pellet in the key. Is it worn, if you hold it up sideways are both sides equally sticking out of the key. If not, it will intermittently fail. Push on the pellet to see if you can move it out of the key. If it moves, its time to get a new key and relearn the system. If it doesn't move your cylinder may be worn. Wiggle the key, is there a lot of play. OH BTW if you can pull the key out of the ignition with the ignition on, don't waste time just replace the key and cylinder. There is of course an inexpensive method to override the Passkey2 system, by simply replacing the pellet in the ignition with a resistor within 15%+- of the value read by the meter. This is accomplished by splicing that resistor parallel across the wires coming from the ignition cylinder for the pellet thats purple/white and white//black. There are other things you can check as well such as the start inhibit circuit, but that is outside of the scope of my response without some additional info
Right and left brake lights
Hi,
check the brake light switch located in the brake pedal area. Normal procedure is to remove the two wires and connect a jumper' wire between them, check and see if the rear brake lights operate. Check the brake light switch and see if it is adjustable. If so, re-connect the removed wires, adjust the position of the switch untill the brake lights operate, when the brake pedal is depressed, then secure the brake light switch.

Your problem is in the ECU. It is the computer that controls everything that you mentioned. The ECU is on the far right side under the kick panel under the dash. It is behind and beside the glove box. You will have to remove a cover that has the interiour light in it by where the passengers feet.
The low refrigerant light comes on and a/c doesn't
If the refrigerant is low /the coolant is low then AC will not work. But the heater will work.In this case the refrigerant needs to be refilled from car ac service center. Its not advisable to fill the refrigerant manually. So getting it done by a professional is very much advisable.
But refilling the refrigerant should solve the problem. If there is no refrigerant leak.At the ac service center, they will confirm this before refilling refrigerant.
