if you have the north star motor it on drivers side tward front grill, you will find a belt cover you need to remove an you'll need a special tool most auto parts stores will rent it to you for a small fee ,it likes a large socket ,if you have the new one you'll see how it fits in socket, using a rachet with socket place over water pump and turn a 1/2 turn to left and it's out ,replace in reverse ,take care not to disturb new o ring seal ,and don't use silicone to seal it , BUT general motors strongly suggest you do use some type of motor sealant , now for the bad news =these motors are very bad with over heating issues that have plaged the north star for years , if you drain antifreeze make sure you use air purge valves to remove any air from motor (purge valve looks like a brake bleeder screw ) or it will continue to over heat, im guessing that's why your doing this , if over heating is a problem take the time to go over all aspects of the cooling system =belts, flushing motor, cooling fans working correctly ,coolant filled, well I REALLhope this helps you ,good luck with it . follow the upper radiator hose to motor next to waterpump ,im guessing you have the north star motor.

Google your codes & read up Stop using it before you ruin the exhaust converter & have it fixed

If all windows not working could be a fuse. I think there are several different fuse blocks on this model, including one in the trunk under carpet at front wall/ back of rear seat. If all fuses are ok, check for voltage at driver's master switch (big red wire). The wire supplying voltage to the switch sometimes cracks and fails in the cable in the driver's door hinge area. While this can be a PITA to fix, carefully open this harness up and fix the break by reconnecting and soldering the broken wire.

Hook up a scan tool to the computer. Erase codes. Autozone will not erase codes for you but they will read them. However if you push the button yourself they dont care. They just dont want to be held responsible. How To Pull Codes DTC

You need a wiring diagram to learn the circuit your working on, & find places to do your testing

a little rope and a hand made winch to pull up proper tool you should use to get to hose and channel locks to help pull off old hose

Sounds exotic a caddy but no doubt its like a luxry version of a opel or parent company GM,like a S type jag was a ford mondeo with a fancy interior anyway take to a local garage and have it checked out sounds like it could just be a idle control valve sticking but over the internet and without my head under the bonnet with my small hammer in my hand to threaten it i couldnt tell you sorry
