My hazard warning switch light has remained on
Either 1 of 2 things. Relay inside hazard switch goes bad often. If that is not it, then usually you would end up replacing the actual turnsignal column switch. But a new Hazard switch should do it.

Where is the 2006 a6 oil filter
Under the plastic cover on top of engine. The one closest to the windshield with the rings on it. Just list up and the oil filter canister will be on your right with a hexagonal nut cap.

How do I switch off the airbag in the passenger
Personally i would never put a baby in a front passenger seat of a car fitted with an air bag. On saying that, there should be a key hole to turn the airbag off, using the ignition key. where this is situated should be on the centre dash between the seats or at the side of the dash near the pass side of the vehicle. A light should illuminate when the airbag is off to warn you that it is Disconnected/off. your owners manual should shed some light on this. Failing that stop off at ANY audi dealer and they will tell you.

How do you turn the sound on if mute is on MMI sound system?
Depress the volume bottom or rotate the volume knob. When on a Bluetooth phone call, the speaker symbol will mute, but unmute when the call ends. Either rolling the right steering wheel scroll or the volume button on the shifter area will should unmute the radio volume.

A6 front shock absorbers
Yes you do need a spring compressor tool, to do this job, if your not sure how to do this, best to have a repair shop do this, if you remove the wrong bolt you could get hurt, the spring hold a lots of pressure, be careful.
