Ac not getting cold

Generally the first thing to check is the freon. You can do it yourself with a self-charging freon kit. If the leak is small enough then you may only need to do this once. Be careful to follow the directions and use the gauges to be sure you don't put too much freon in. That will result in a costly repair

I have 2006 audi a6

Hi

Undo & redo all ground connections, preferably cleaning all surfaces (wire brush, eraser, contact cleaner, whatever). Assume all metal-metal contacts have insulation - scrape/clean it off. (Bolts/screws included.) Also it could also be the unstable voltage situation, and that suggests a bad alternator-chassis to engine to chassis/body ground, but bad body (or engine) to battery- ground could also account for it. So maybe that too is the audio ground problem. For the audio, it could also be bad power. You could clean all +12V contacts etc but try swapping the fuse first (in case of thermal fracture, or because it is a glass fuse) else at least remove & refit (to scrape the contacts).

Check this link for the wiring diagram:-

Just purchased an A6 certified preowned. After

Sounds like your CV joint is going bad (Constant Velocity joint) they click when grease has escaped. They have a rubber boot around them to keep dirt out and grease in. And with age they crack and grease leaks out. You can see them just behind either wheel.

I have a 2006 A6 with LED tail lights that i need

If it's like my a6 bulb version when you open the boot on the back of the light fitting there is a plastic plug set on the edge of the boot opening.Remove the cap use a socket to remove a long nut its about an inch and a half long once removed the whole lens assembly should be with drawn back wards horizontal with the wing, there are two pegs attached to the light fitting, fuel cap end these go in to sockets in the wing grease these when re fitting it will help if you have to remove it again in the future. the whole assembly is in one piece just a plug to disconnect.It only fits one way.Ihope this is of some use to you.My a6 2007 is a bulb assembly not led but i think it will be very similar .It's not easy to pull this light fitting out but it does slide out eventually .

How do I reset my service indicator on my car its

Hi, if your 2006 Audi A6 service light is coming up, you have to reset it by following the instruction below..

If your instrument cluster has 2 knobs, one on each side (Older A4's, 1998-2004 A6's, TT's up to ~2006):
Press the right knob and hold it, turn the ignition on, release the right knob and press the left knob, the display should change to service in ----- miles. Or....

Press the right knob and hold it. Turn the ignition on and release the right knob and pull the left one. Then, push the right knob again and pull the left knob again. The display where the mileage is shown should change.

If your instrument cluster has a little wrench on a button on the right (2002-2008 A4's):
Press and hold the wrench button. Turn the ignition on, release the wrench button and press the 0,0 button next to it. The center display should change.

If you have a older body A8, you may be able to reset without a scan tool. Press the 0,00 button on the right of the cluster, turn the ignition on and release the 0,00 button and press the "M" or "Mode" button on the left and it should reset. If this does not work, or you have a 2004 or newer A8, it will probably require a scan tool.

If you have a much older or newer Audi, or certain A8's, you need a scan tool or a special made service light reset tool, available online. You can also purchase af, ter market software and a adapter lead for your laptop and use that. The reset tools will come with instructions. The After market software will go as follows:
On most older vehicles, enter vehicle self diagnosis. Go to #17: Instrument cluster. Go to adaptations, and change the following adaptation channel numbers to the number listed next to it, following the on screen prompts to save and accept.
Channel 5 --> 12
Channel 6 --> 24
Channel 7 --> 36
Channel 8 --> 72

If you have a A3, 2009+ A4, 2005+ A6 or 2004+ A8, or a Q7 and are using the after market software:
Go to guided functions, go to service work, go to reset service light, or something of that nature, and follow the on screen prompts.

Hope it helps
