2004 audi a6 won't start. never had this problem
First check the fuse area for a blown fuel pump fuse or a fuel pump relay gone bad. Put some fuel in the carb area/air intake and try to start. If it starts momentarily it should be a fuel problem. If there is no momentary start, you are not getting spark. to the plugs. Think I would go with the fuel idea first.

A circle with question mark symbol on the outside
Are you sure it's not a circle with an exclamation point? if so, it means there is an issue with your brakes, usually the pads are low. I've never seen one with a question mark and I've owned 5 Audis. If it is indeed a question mark post a picture of it and we will try to figure out what you've got there.

Symphony radio code
Each radio code is unique. If it's not in the owners manual (when new there was a small card, loose, in the owners manual with the code). If you don't have that you need to get the code from the dealer.

Radio in safe mode
Radio is locked because someone entered the wrong code more than three times.
Radio must be left on for one hour before it will change to CODE. At which time you can enter your radio code .( Do not just leave ignition on...battery will be discharged inside the hour.)
You have three trys before it locks and says SAFE.
If it does not take the code you have you will need to call VW and ask them if they can obtain the code. However, VW demands that the owner must be present and have ownership papers for the can and a valid id.
If the listed code still is not taken by the radio, you need to pull the radio out ( Special tools required.) and record ALL the numbers you find on the radio chassis so VW dealer can pull up code for that radio.
Or...have an after market radio installed.

Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. Where is the thermostat on an audi 2.8 v6 engine
The thermostat is mounted to the engineblock on the front of the engine, under a “cover” just to theright of the crank. The thermostat cover is connected to the lowerradiator hose. The manual says to remove the timing belt. I am notsure if this is required but if true, it is a major job.
