My right headlight does not work, replaced bulb

There is a fuse for the headlights check that, owners manual lists which fuse it is. To check the fuse you can pull the fuse out, the fuse will be mad of plastic that you can see through. Look at the fuse, inside of the see through plastic there is a piece of metal that is usually curved into a "horseshoe" shape. If that piece of metal is not one solid piece, ex.. If it has a section of it that is burned/ blown out then it needs to be replaced, you can also take that fuse out and just put another one in to see If it start working. If the fuse is fine and the bulb is install properly the there is a good 70%-80-" you will need a headlight connector RepaIr kit dhis

"SRS-AIRBAG SERVICE" fault message

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

The c, e, m. has

do you mean the ECM? They rarely fail, but if it has your best bet is going to be the dealer since it has to be flashed to your BCM-you might find a unit in a junkyard but will still have to go the the dealer to have it set up. What makes you think this is your issue?

PO456 trableshooting

Info found at: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0456

Maybe try cleaning, tightening, or replacing the gas cap first?

P0456 Article by Dale Toalston ASE Certified Technician

Evaporative Emissions System - Small leak detected

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) at different times performs various tests on the EVAP system. OBD II Enhanced EVAP systems are in place to keep fuel tank vapors from venting into the atmosphere, and instead purges them into the engine to be burned. Regular pressure tests are conducted by the PCM to monitor the sealed system for leaks. The PCM monitors the EVAP system pressure by watching the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor. When the sensor indicates a small leak in the EVAP system, this code is set.

Potential Symptoms:

There will likely be no noticeable symptoms other than the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL). This is because the EVAP system is a closed system and only controls fuel tank vapors, not engine management.

Causes:

Usually this P0456 code is caused by an incorrect or faulty gas cap. Filling the fuel tank with the engine running could conceivable cause this code as well or if the cap wasn't properly tightened. Any of the following could also be the cause:

- A small leak in any of the EVAP hoses or fuel tank hoses

- A small leak in the purge valve or vent valve

- The EVAP Canister may be leaking

Possible Solutions:

First, using a scan tool activate the vent solenoid, sealing the system. Then monitor the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor. If the system is sealing properly, the number will stay consistent. If is isn't, the pressure sensor will show that as well. If the system slowly leaks, use a smoke machine and watch for smoke exiting the system at any EVAP component. Any where there is smoke exiting the system, that is the faulty component. Do not pressurize the EVAP system with air pressure. Doing so can damage the purge and vent solenoids in the system.

My xc70 Volvo shows a message "bulb failure

"position light" is a rear parking light which has failed or become unseated. Sometimes you can knock on the tail light housing and they will come back on, but they burn out shortly after regardless.

These and the low beam headlamps fail very frequently on these cars so you should become familiar with the replacement procedures.

Check the online manual:

Why does my fan stay on when I turn off the

Your fan will continue until your engine has been brought down to the required temperature. This is normal. However, if you just completed a normal/shortish run and your temperature gauge is going hot or into the red, you could have a thermostat problem, it needs checking out especially as winter is here.

Is it okay to buy tires other than the OEM

You will not like the price, of any of the tire choices, you have today

Any tire will be $200 ea

The tire rack is a good site to evaluate tires

Always go to several tire stores, to look at what your
interested in. Size doesn't matter for looking at tread design

I don't think, you thought out that question
You own the vehicle, you control tire selection, maintenance, etc

OEM tires are just that. It is possible that your car came with
any number of different brands. The factory will make a run, then
switch venders. All about money & savings
Usually the OE tires, are not the best, as far as wear

All you need, is a quality tire, and the outside diameter is critical
with AWD. That said, after you inflate, buy and then measure the outside of
the tire, what do you do. If you own a shop you can try several tires

My advice, is commit to some serious money,we have no choice,we have to use
what the vehicle was designed for
I wouldn't own a 4x4 or AWD, and run a summer tire. Without an aggressive tread you
defeat the purpose of AWD
So I would suggest you step up to the most aggressive tread you can find, in the correct size
You most likely got, what I call street tires,a florida special

Those less aggresive tires are no good in snow.
And 4x4 and AWD only drives on one tire per axle, not all 4

Pirelli --from my research, coinsidently is at the bottom of the list, forget them

ABS light flashes when cornering at low speeds.

I alread know you will not like my answer but I will explain it.Each tire has a wheel speed transducer which 'tells' a computer how fast a tire is rotating. Then the computer sends a feedback signal to the brakes telling them to engage/disengage as rapidly as possible without causing the car to skid(prevent lockup of brakes). If one were to go bad,you would have to buy a new one, take off the tire and the transducer, replace them, and test drive. One tire could easily take an hour.If that one wasn't bad,you would proceed to the next, next, next. If the problem was the computer, nothing would change. If it were the brakes, you have a whole new set of tests to do.Time is worth money,so even if the computer test costs $80 or more, you will save time, probably aspirin, and migraines. The computer test is very specific and will only take a few minutes.ABS is a good system, but with more technology comes more problems unfortunately.Greg Also,if you haven't changed the battery yet,be prepared to have to unlock the radio when you do.A normal car battery lasts about 6 years. If you call a dealer, they normally will provide the code and process for free.If they want an outrageous amount of money, some dealers want over $100,seriously,there are sites online which do it for $10-$15 perhaps.I think some of the higher end car makers want the outrageous amount, perhaps yours,Mercedes,Cadillac,Jaguar, etc. You will need your VIN and that should be all.Good luck,Greg
