Sounds like the spark plugs maybe in need of replacement. They foul out over time I would replace them first that should clear up the issues. The P0720 is a transmission code (sorry...I couldn't find a complete code description). there is a second release inside the trunk, it is a cable with a plastic pull handle on it.

There is. V70 means it is a wagon so it is going to be on the same side as the fuel door inside of the car. The handle is usually yellow or a neon green. Check where the jack is kept.

It's towards the front of the center console. If you lift the hatch, there's the shallow front section of the stoarge compartment, then the deeper rear section. Up in the front shallow section, there's a small plastic piece, maybe 1" x 1.5" labeled OBDCII

if you look that up on a normal OBD code its listed as P1604 Code Word Unregestered However for a volvo thats a code for Control Module Self Test, Speed Monitoring which would indicate the ECM or a wiring problem ( usually just a loose connection,, so check the connections on the ECM, which you can have scanned by the dealer, Volvo codes vary from the normal coding on most cars, so be careful when getting codes and their meanings

The A/C needs to be serviced by a certified volvo tech or some one who know's a/c very well it can be just low charge or the speed sensor on the compressor.

There could be a dozen causes. Get a tune up.
