DRIVING SEQUENCE FOR 200O GRAND VITARA TO RESET COMPUTER

Hi:

We failed our emissions test as well, and went to the dealer to get the o2 sensor fixed. When I was paying the cashier told me that after such work, the car needs to drive for a while so the computer can confirm there are no problems, otherwise it sends out a code saying it's not ready to be checked. I was told 2 or three days.

Vitara freewheel hubs stuck in drive position . ( jx4u2 mod.)

Yes you can strip them down but its not easy and you need to be mindfull that there are two large springs inside. You will prob find that there is a part inside that has disintergrated causing the hub to stay in drive. Not sure if you can buy the pars singally though.

Hi, I have a 1991 Suzuki JLX Vitara with the Front Right hub is locked into 4WD and I can seem to unlock it and the gearbox of late feels notchy, sometimes difficult to change into gear

Try hammering the front right hub with a wood or a rubber hammer while slowly reversing the vehicle, and keep on unlocking the hub while doing this.
spray it with lubrication first
yes, you need to change the gear oil in your gear box
Have your clutch re adjusted, it may be worn out , that's why you are having a hard time changing gears or have it bleed to keep the air out if you are using hydraulic.
If you dont hear any noise in your gear box while driving, its nothing serious, worst thing could be replacing your clutch lining and pressure plate.

200 Suzuki Vitara JX

4h means high range 4wd and 2L and 4L means 2 wheel and 4 wheel low range. low range is used when going through washouts and down washed out hills etc. do not use the brake as the vechile may slide. low range is basically just letting the car do the work and idle it down hills etc where 4wd is needed. don't try to drive normally while any 4wd is engaged as you will damage it.

Problem with engine rev. when turning the aircon

Hi,

In most cases, when the A/C compressor is activated, there is likewise a solenoid that is activated. This solenoid is mechanically couple to the throttle and basically increases the idling RPM . This is to compensate for the additional load that the A/C compressor puts on the engine. If this solenoid is defective or the connector detached, then it will not compensate when compressor is active. Then your idle goes down and the probability of a stall increases.

Slight increase in temperature as compared to other vehicles maybe due to:
1. improper mix of water and coolant;
2. defective or delayed opening thermostat;
3. clogged radiator tubing;
4. leak in the engine cooling system;
5. engine using higher octane fuel or improper oil;
5. engine in need of a major tune-up.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My car

Sounds like the cells in the battery have shorted. It's probably shot. Does the car run once its jump started? Does it continue to run after the cables are removed, if so your alternator is ok and its the battery. Hope that helps.
