2006 Subaru Forester - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Cd won't eject from cd player
try taking your stereo out and disconnecting power. reconnect again and see if it comes out. If not you will have to take stereo out and open it up to manually remove the disc. same thing happened with my mothers car and she ended up getting a new stereo installed. best of luck!
Key doesn't open door
Your key may be getting worn. Since you cannot get a key cut properly by using a worn key, go right to the dealership with your ownership papers and vin number, and they can follow a code to have a proper key cut for you. Best thing to try for $3 Hope this was helpful
My 2006 Subaru Forester's check
this can be several problems combined as the flashing cruise light is used for other faults such as p1088/1090 which is a tgv sensor.
as for the fuel lever sender there are 2 just behind the rear seats in the cargo area.
remove the cargo storage units they clip in place so be gentle when pulling them up and start from the hatch end. the carpet on the rear seats has a strip that clips into the rear most section of the storage units this just prys straight up again take it easy its plastic.
now you can access the covers for the 2 fuel sending units on either side of the fuel tank.
they both use a resistior strip which is simple to clean and easy to test with a multi-meter.
here is a link for the service manual to give you all the info you will need for testing this or any other issues you may have

How to change cabinair filter?
Remove the screws around the glove box and pull the panel off. The filter is behind there. Pull the right side out first because there is a tab and you don't want it to break off.
The check engine light is on. What does that mean
hi it usually indicates a problem that the ecu has picked up it needs to be scanned at garage which will give them a read out saying what exact problem is without having to replace parts that arent problem
Subaru forester (2006) radio stopped
Best guess is the antenna has a broken wire/lead, or somehow got unplugged from the radio. You will have to remove the radio to check antenna wire with Volt/ohm meter.
Grind sound while turning
Hi
Is
it a clunk clunk clunk noise? Then you have a CV joint that needs to be
replaced. This is called the CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT, and helps you
turn the wheel when it is in motion.
It has ball bearings inside and when the housing wears out, they make that clunking noise.
See your mechanic for a change and see if you can replace both wheels at the same time.
2006 forester, radio stopped working a few days
this could be caused by a few things -- the antenna wire is bad and needs to be replaced,, or a wire has shorted out the antenna wire ( but since this is the only problem you are having in the car I don't think this is the issue ).
next thing that causes this is a bad resistor, diode or reveiver pod in the radio itself -- this will need to be fixed by a technician that works on radios.
but before taking the radio in - check the antenna wire from the radio to the antenna itself and make sure all looks ok.
