there are 3 engines, are we to guess that? 2.4 ,3.7 and 2.8Liter what trouble, you didnt say? can reach it. cant turn it its at an angle (use a universal joint , on socket driver?) show a photo ? so we can all see the deal there. some cars have shields (heat) did you find that and remove that? ill do wild guessing, 3.7L step 3 in the FSM. 1. On the 3.7L engine, the left side exhaust pipe and front driveshaft must be disconnected.

did you skip step 1, disconnect battery neg lug?> Do so or risk eating acid for breakfast....... or worse.

This is best left to the aircon specialists, special pullers & tools are needed, the shaft is also quite thin and bends easily, if this happens the pump is useless

Whatever you've got doesn't seem to be anything to do with the battery or alternator. Its more like you have a major ground or harness issue. I'm not saying the SS isn't playing up but if no Jeep expert comes across with a fix then you need to get some experienced help and start looking at chassis and battery ground cables, the harness rubbed through somewhere, engine to frame ground cable. A bad earth can cause all sorts of weird things with lights and systems.

The auto lock burned out you need to go to dealer and get ripped off for $300 to have them fix it. Make sure you tell them the exact problem since it took 3 mechanics two days to figure mine out after i told them what was wrong the first time. Not too swift there.

Depends on where you buy it? Electric fans can be pricey. Manual fans are cheap and can often be bought at salvage yards. If electric, check several parts stores for best deal.

I had the same problem and the dealer replaced the entire release system.

If the light comes on, how can the Light itself be a problem. It's getting some juse from somewhere. I predict that the ECU may be a problem or it is getting "strange data" from some of the sensors. Or there is some stray voltage allong the way from ECU to check engine light. You said catalytic computer, did you mean catalytic converter?

make sure you changed the correct bulb (it happens). turn on the other side to be sure. you may also have a defective new bulb (that happen too) lots of cheap electrical parts out there!

Check the main relay and fuse.

check the voltage to the clutch ( it should read 12 volts) check that the shaft will actually turn as the compressor may be seized inside

DIYer? I recommend a repair manual from your auto parts store. It will be easy to refer to, and you will want it next time anyway. or try manualslib.com

wow no syptoms posted, its really 3 switches, so.... is pin1 dead, gry-red (?) if yes, that is fuse 12 blown. well RTM, read the manual yet and schematic. be not, buy one or login to alldata.com yet? its there. i guess checking fuses first is out of style? its first. in fact you need not one book to do fuses. ever. that is test them. 05 KJ jeep it is. my book is open' here it is all 3 switches, (3in1) and 3 ways to fail, too.
