Set timing on ignition

The ignition is computer controlled and has no adjustment of any kind. That said you need to run a scan through the diagnostic service port under the dash to see what fault codes are stored that may explain what is causing this. You may also have an internal engine problem like a timing chain failure or other issues.

CD HOLDER STUCK

dash radio, stock radio is it the single deck model or the multi deck option/ photos work best, for all that. if that is the only failure, (radio works) then the cd is jammed, can be cause by many things. broken CD parts of previous cd broken parts inside jamming it or its far worse. it will need to be dismantled, to fix it. unlike computers, there is no tiny hole there for paper clip to eject it , emerg. mode) so repair on the old one, labor and parts would exceed cost of upgrade, why not go CD free, use memory stick, with your CDs ripped to MP3, files, and move on,.... the last CDs will be sold in walmart. and the isle keeps shrinking and soon to be like VHS videos, a memory.

My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee wont hold a charge and

First remove and clean battery cables and battery posts with a wire brush or sand paper. Make sure battery is charged and check to see if it starts. Then check battery condition and charging system. The problem could be cables, battery, or alternator. Check them in order and repair or replace as needed. Check cables, battery, belts(tension and condition), and charging system in order. Do this because bad cables will give false readings for other tests and so on.

The oil pressure gauge is pegged yet there is a clattering coming from the upper end. With a standard I-6.

If you have blown the bearings, eventually they melt and plug the oil holes, so that the oil pressure pegs. Don't drive it at all.

How do you check brake light switch

The brake light switch will be open circuit when the brake pedal is not depressed and will have a closed circuit when depressed. IE/ switch off when the pedal is up and switch on when the pedal is pressed. You will need a multimeter to check or you can use a 12 volt globe or voltage tester. Power on 1 side of the switch when off, both sides when closed or on.,

Loosing coolant

Is it leaking externally that you see? If so, you may have leaking freeze plugs on the engine block or cylinder head. If it is not external, then check the exhaust. Are you getting white smoke? Does the exhaust have a sweet smell? You could have a cracked cylinder wall, cylinder head, or blown head gasket. Check the floor inside the vehicle. Is it wet anywhere, especially passenger side front. It could be a leaking heater core. If all else fails, have the system pressure tested by a mechanic to find the source of the leak. Some can be very hard to detect.

Program the keyless entry

i guess you meant HOW CAN I program? (key word "I") is car USA car?????? (our rules are UNIQUE) the operators guide on all jeeps cover this. posted this 100s of times here. there are lots of rules related to this. first off most newer cars, you need 2 keys to make a 3rd. and has a 8 key limit, and new key must be new, as used ones will not program. tricky huh? and gets worse in time, the 2010 you cant do at all. my 08 can do. and did. see? the car came with 2 keys, lost one? that be first first. lost operators guide, even look yet? WJ jeep year 2000 ill read the book for you. veh. theft security chapter. chapter 8q in the FSM. page 7 , "customer method" ill see if i can paste it here, (found it in 10 seconds) quote, real FSM CUSTOMER LEARN METHOD The Customer Learn feature is only available on domestic vehicles, or those vehicles which have a U.S. country code designator. This programming method also requires access to at least two valid Sentry Keys. If two valid Sentry Keys are not available, or if the vehicle does not have a U.S. country code designator, the Secured Access Method must be used to program new or additional valid keys to the SKIM. The Customer Learn programming method procedures are as follows: (1) Obtain the blank Sentry Key(s) that are to be programmed as valid keys for the vehicle. Cut the blank key(s) to match the ignition switch lock cylinder mechanical key codes. (2) Insert one of the two valid Sentry Keys into the ignition switch and turn the ignition switch to the On position. (3) After the ignition switch has been in the On position for longer than three seconds, but no more than fifteen seconds, cycle the ignition switch back to the Off position. Replace the first valid Sentry Key in the ignition switch lock cylinder with the second valid Sentry Key and turn the ignition switch back to the On position. The second valid Sentry Key must be inserted in the lock cylinder within fifteen seconds of removing the first valid key. (4) About ten seconds after the completion of Step 3, the SKIS indicator in the instrument cluster will start to flash and a single audible chime tone will sound to indicate that the system has entered the Customer Learn programming mode. (5) Within sixty seconds of entering the Customer Learn programming mode, turn the ignition switch to the Off position, replace the valid Sentry Key with a blank Sentry Key transponder, and turn the ignition switch back to the On position. (6) About ten seconds after the completion of Step 5, a single audible chime tone will sound and the SKIS indicator will stop flashing, stay on solid for three seconds, then turn off to indicate that the blank Sentry Key has been successfully programmed. The SKIS will immediately exit the Customer Learn programming mode and the vehicle may now be started using the newly programmed valid Sentry Key. Each of these steps must be repeated and completed in their entirety for each additional Sentry Key that is to be programmed. If the above steps are not completed in the given sequence, or within the allotted time, the SKIS will exit the Customer Learn programming mode and the programming will be unsuccessful. The SKIS will also automatically exit the Customer Learn programming mode if it sees a non-blank Sentry Key transponder when it should see a blank, if it has already programmed eight (8) valid Sentry Keys, or if the ignition switch is turned to the Off position for more than about fifty seconds. NOTE: If an attempt is made to start the vehicle while in the Customer Learn mode (SKIS indicator flashing), the SKIS will respond as though the vehicle were being started with an invalid key. In other words, the engine will stall after about two seconds of operation. No faults will be set. NOTE: Once a Sentry Key has been programmed as a valid key to a vehicle, it cannot be programmed as a valid key for use on any other vehicle. end quote. got all that? if confused, ask any ASE shop in USA for help they CAN DO !

sure fuses are always first first. the key logo means the IMMOBIZER Is UNHAPPy. you will not start any jeep with that feature, unhappy. so did you try the OTHER key that came with car. lost that, oops... this was in the cards.... the scan tool , use a scan tool see the DTC error there it tells you, like BAD key. or ??? other reasons. buy a scan tool? really you have only 3 choices if IMMO upset. fuses good. 2nd key. scan it or tow it to any ASE shop in town, if rich , stealership.
