Engine light stays on code p1494

P1494 code is a leak detection pump switch or mechanical fault, leak detection pump switch does not respond to input. The leak detection pump (if equipped) is located under the air filter housing on models through 2001. Check if the vapor and vacuum lines are securely connected to the leak detection pump or a diagonstic trouble code my be set like this. The leak detection pump switch may be bad and need replaced.

Interior lights stay on

either the lights are turned on manually from the headlight/interior light switch, or you have a defective door switch that is telling the module that a door is open, or you have a door that is open, or your module that controls the interior lights is defective. I would start with the simple things, I would make sure all doors are closed. If they are, then check the headlight/interior switch to make sure the interior lights are in the off position, then check all of the door switches. They are simple normally closed push button switches that should be mounted on the car frame near the door hinges.

The transmission cooling fan stays

Some vehicles do that and it's OK. It is cooling down the transmission fluid. Once it reaches the set temperature, it will shut off.

Service required trouble light on

There are codes stored in the PCM. Go to an Auto Zone (or possibly other parts stores) and have them hook up a code reader. Its usually a free service.

Cherokee will not start until

Might have to reset the codes on the computer. Take the + battery cable off the battery and reconnect it afer 5 minutes. Next try to start the engine without holding the gas petal down, it should start and run rought till the computer resets itself. If engine stops, restart the engine and hold the gas petal down and give it enought gas so it will run smooth, it may take 5 minutes or so for it to smooth out and run at idle speed. If this did not fix the problem, check for a vaccum hose that may be off some where on the engine

If you are talking about the rubber in the balancer itself. You can not do this. Balancers are fairly inexpensive. I would get one at a junk yard. I think they are about 40.00 dollars new.

Can you replace the front left window lift motor

You folks really need to learn to give more detailed info when you need help. The answer is, "it depends". If you have the small Cherokee, the answer is no. If you have the Grand Cherokee, the answer is yes. You will have to remove the motor and regulator to get them apart.

Engine Cooling problem 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4 cyl

Although the 4 cylinder is too underpowered to have air conditioning in my opinion, it still shouldn't overheat within 10 minutes unless something is wrong. If your Jeep doesn' not overheat when you are driving WITHOUT AC on then your compressor might have a problem and causing the engine to work too hard to turn it.

But if it overheats without the AC on, then the first thing you need to do is check the cooling fan and see if it operates! There has been a lot of problems with the cooling fan relay on this model. If that isn't it, then move to changing the thermostat and checking the water pump.

Csnt get serpentine belt off I'm trying to

There are two bolts if it is like the older model, you have to loosen the bolt on the front of the pulley and then the tension bolt. If you don't loosen the bolt on the front of the pulley the pulley can't move when you turn the adjuster bolt.

I put every new parts such as both 02 sensors and

The problem is that you need to understand OBD 2 Systems first

Then diagnose whatever the issues were.

You do not just put parts on any vehicle hoping to resolve an issue.

You only replace any part when it was found to have failed
or reaches a certain milage and is due to be replaced.

In most cases that will require the use of a volt meter or an
oscilloscope, as well as system knowledge.

There could be 20 things that could cause a problem

You have to use the codes you get,if any, to start a process
of elimination.

When i use the left

That's consistent with a signal switch (multi function switch) failure. It's part of the signal arm and isn't that difficult to replace. (covers on the column need to be removed). Instructions for that can be found in chilton or haynes manuals but if you have any mechanical aptitude you likely can just look at it and see how it comes out.
