Neutral safety switch bad how

You actually dont have to replace it.Usually the only problem is dirt on the contacts and you can fix that with very little skill and tools. The switch is located on the passenger side of trans where the linkage goes into transmission .It is somewhat triangular with an electrical plug or a wiring pigtail with a plug.Remove the lingae lever(make sure ebrake is on)and loosen the large jam nut and two 12 mm head bolts that hold it to transmission case. There are several screws that hold the two haves if the switch together, remove them and gently open the two sides of the switch.Clean the old grease out with solvent or brake clean. The take some scotch brite or steel wool and clean all the contact point(copper strips) until that are shinny.Pack the switch with high temp grease(wheel bearing or cv joint grease is ideal) and reassemble the two halves and instal using the witness marks where the bolts were as an adjustment reference.take care to remove the rubber gasket and set aside before you clean the switch with solvent as this will cause it to expand and make it unusable.Good luck and let me know if I can help.I know this may seem like a bunch of work but these switches cost well over 100 to buy new and the ones they sell aftermarket tend to give trouble.

Why would my 2000 jeep cherokee throw a cylinder 3

Ther are a few thing that can cause this, first you may have a leaking injector that loads cylinder up and after its blown out its fine until it sits and you restart it depending on engine temp or you may have a bad sparkplug or wire, some of these come with coil overplug and in that case there are no wires just a coil boot on each coil for each cylinder, you will need to check to make sure the boots are good and last would be the coil, good luck,

Which fuse controls the windshield fluid pump ?

It will be the same one as the wipers. The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the wiper fuse it should be around 20 amps.

Can not find the fuse for the windshield washer

Hi, the washer uses the same fuse as the wipers. If the washer is not working, the pump has likely failed. You can check it out by pulling the electrical connector off the pump and using a 12 volt test light to see if there is power in the connector when the key is on and the washer switch is activated. If there is power there, replace the pump. If no power, check the wiring from the switch, or the switch may be bad. Please let me know if you have questions and thanks for using FixYa.

Anything special i need to

drain the coolant, connect or close all hoses and drain plugs, start motor and fill radiator with a 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze, leave engine running, when motor gets hot the thermostat will open allowing the coolant to flow through the motor, in change the anti-freeze will get lower in the radiator thus you continue to fill untill full and the radiator will not except more coolant, ( this is how you get the air out) replace radiator cap and fill reservoir to cold level and your done. Recheck your coolant reservoir after you have driven the vehicle a bit and fill if necessary, do not fill to top, only fill to cool mark. the reservoir is not under pressure so you can fill at any time motor hot or cold

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport 4.0 4wd. i need

It is possible, I have seen this done. You have to connect a compressor to a fitting that will screw in and seal in the hole for the spark plug for the cylinder you want to change the lifter on. Pressurize the cylinder so the valves won't drop and do the replacement. Without looking up the repair procedure for a lifter that is as far as I can go with this. In some vehicle the lifter can be replaced without removing the cam but most will require that be done. Make sure you get the repair manual on your vehicle so you have directions for removing and replacing the lifter. I know there are some shops that do this all the time but I have never done it myself.

For the P0700 I would check your tps sensor first to make sure it is good. This is a common failure in this vehicle which can sometimes show as a transimission malfunction.
