How to replace speed sensor

the speed sensor is located on the rear output housing of the transmission. It is a sensor mounted on one of the sides right before your drive-shaft exits the transmission. look for ta wire coming from the rear of your transmission. Easy replacement.

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport. It overheats while sitting in one place too long. I have replaced thermostat and cooling fan comes on when it reaches 220. The fan stays running but the check gauge

Well, yes and no.The shroud helps the fan pull more air thru the radiator. So yes the broken shroud could be a factor, but you could also have problems with air flow thru the radiator. Or restrictions inside the radiator for coolant flow.

Lost pwr for takeoff, and gauges all going haywire and overcharging battery

Did the overcharge or voltage regulator problem go away with the new ECM in it? If so the transmission code.. (turbine speed sensor input) code is probably another problem that the Jeep has.. and the ECM will not fix that, but the input speed sensor that it may need is not very expensive.

Have a knock in my 2000 2.5 jeep cherokee just had the head rebuilt new lifters and pushrods can't ajust rockerarm it's torque to the right setting

I'm not sure where your knock is coming from, but If you rev your engine up and the knock becomes faster and louder you may have a bad rod bearing. If this is the case and you haven't ran your engine too much it is possible to put a new set of bearings in it and you'll be ready to go. But it is possible that you have spun a bearing and the crank would be ruined. Hope that's not where your knock is. Hope this helps, Jeff Horton

While driving jeep loses elect. to engine. still has fuel pressure. after a few minutes it will strat back up.

Check all fuse box connections, battery terminals and leads. Also check age of battery. If it has too much silt in the bottom of it (corrosion) then it may be shorting within.
