does dont move mean it slipscan you move throttle to say 3000 rpm and car will not move.this is gross slip. or FLare. RPM matters. here.why?, because the engine must be good, to move forward.hot and cold engine? no move forward.? or both?standard means manual transmission.so the clutch is bad.my guess is you meant it has a A/T box. mine has a 6sp, M/T box.apples and oranges diffr.this car had 4 transmission options day1 factory build day.4.2 auto2 manual standard, stick.ill guess at 32RH at (not AW-4 auto) 32RH is a 3 speed.hydramatic.levels good, per the operators guide, do not guess, use the steps in the guide, the A/T box is not checked like the engine, at all.is the fluid, pink (ATF) or black and with metal flakes, dripping off end of dip stick. or stinks, smoky not sweet smell.???????is the shifter moving the shift side crank on tranny correctly?this takes careful observation .

1. level checks, and lever action.
2. replace the filter now. was this step skipped for 22 years?
3. get the full flush no , may be the AFT fuild types were mixed up?
4. this means the stall test fails, (dont move)
5. so in the FSM the next test is the pump pressure test port test. called LINE checks, this is next. if fail the tranny is bad.
6. whats next depends on %5

Check for vacuum leaks with a can of throttle body cleaner spray it when the engine is running if u get a high ideal when you hit a hose you found it if not check your ECM. It could be going bad

sounds like a head gasket problem....is your anti-freeze reservoir pressuring up as well?

which engine, they work different. you saw gas where.? you saw fuel where?? you saw something turn, what? try this. it cranks robustly (250RPM = robust)? the engines cranks over, (i see pulley spin fast on crank)? the engine fails to start and to RUN (sustained).? you lost spark to 4 or 6 clingers, all are dead spark? so you place the diagnostic jumper wire and crank for 5seconds and release the key, got DTC error codes, bingo. if not bad spark is bad coil or bad ignitor that drives said coil. next is fueling but above is all first. fuel is always LAST. (ECU cuts fuel for many reasons) ask.

Yes, it could be. The crank sensor is responsible for a lot of jeeps not getting spark. First check if the green/black wire to the coil has voltage with key on. That is the primary current to coil. If voltage there, it could be the crank sensor. If no voltage to coil with key on, then problem is that computer is not sending power to the coil. That will have to be checked-there is a relay involved-the Automatic Shut Down relay in the under hood fuse-relay box.
