How to change freeze plug in a Chrysler town & country 2006 mini van
Freeze plugs are easy to install if you have room to work. Use a punch or screwdriver to knock in one side of the plug, then grab it with pliers and pull it out. clean the recess thoroughly where the plug sits. You can buy an expanding type plug with a rubber insert. Just set it in place and use a small wrench to tighten the plug. As screw is tightened, the rubber expands and seals the hole. Just ask at parts store for the freeze plug with rubber expander. Different sized freeze plugs, so make sure you get the right fit. Maybe take old one with you, but counter man may be able to look up the correct size by car and engine info.
My front passenger floorboard under the dashboard is getting wet
sounds like the heater core has went out make sure you check the coolant in the over flow tank to make it last till you can get it somewhere, when the vehicle hasnt been running, loosten the radiator cap a tad bit not unscrewed just back off the tightness, this will keep the pressure from building so you can get to where you are goin, but you have to check coolant several times and watch the gauge bring a jug of water with you or preferably coolant its gonna still leak so water is good just dont dump cold water into it, water will not last as long as coolant, water will immediately steam and evaporate just some hints to keep the block from cracking hope this helps.
