2006 Chrysler Pacifica - Page 6 Questions & Answers
I replaced catalytic converter in my 2006 Pacifica and after two months check engine light came back on,code 420 bad cat.
you will get this code when the incompletely burned fuel in the cat has built up to a certain level and cat can no longer absorb more. The cause of incompletely burned fuel in the cat can be due to many reasons:
1. sparkplugs not firing correctly (wrong gap or fouled)(problem with ingntion components(wiring to spark plugs to high resistance)
2. fuel injectors are fouled.
3. bad fuel, incorrect fuel (regular vs premium-see user manual)
You will have to verify plugs are good, plug wires are good, injectors are clean, fuel is good.
once you get these things line out the light will eventually go out.
Location of fuel filter on 2006 chysler pacifica
The filter is in the fuel pump module inside the tank. It requires the removal of the tank. The module will need to be replaced as a unit. Sorry but that is the way most newer autos are nowadays.
I have a 2006 pacifica. I have no brake lights
No not weird that clicking sound is your shift lock it's supposed to make that sound first check
Brake light fuse if that is good check brake light switch witch is mounted under the dash above the brake pedal somtimes they can unadjust them selves and the switch doesn't hit the pedal or it is just bad and if that's not the problem it's the module that you will have to take to a repair shop
Starting
Sounds like bad battery; battery cable connection; or possibly bad starter solenoid.

I believe this is caused when a wheel speed sensor fails. Reading the code with a GOOD scanner may tell you which one is bad.
My car is cutting off when driving, my check engine light is on
The fuel injection cleaner isn't the problem, it's just a coincidence. If you get the codes checked , I believe you will find that the problem is with your mass air flow sensor which is located between your air cleaner and throttle body. It may just be dirty and in need of cleaning. CRC makes a cleaner for this sensor, and you can do this yourself. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
Ac leak water on passenger side floor
Your a/c drain hose is blocked up. Find a small rubber hose coming out front the firewall and push something like a wire inside it and unblock it, hope this helps
Fix pacifica stuck in park
Are you parked on a significant incline? You may need to have your car CAREFULLY pushed slightly uphill by another vehicle while moving the shift lever. Not on a hill or a light uphill push doesn't help? Check to see if your brake lights are working. If your brake lights do not come on when you depress the pedal, your brake light switch or brake light circuit fuse may be the culprit, as that is where the release solenoid for your gear shift receives its power. Correct the brake light circuit issue and your problem will be cleared.
If your brake lights are working correctly, listen for a light click at the gear shift lever when you depress the brake. If you don't hear one, suspect the locking solenoid is jammed (can usually be corrected with a shot of oil, once you get to it).
Another possibility is that the shift linkage has jammed. Check the linkage for broken parts. It is also possible that the "parking pin" in your transmission has become jammed, especially if the car was run into while parked. If that is the case, you'll need to have the park pin replaced.
